This place is really good. Amazing breakfast sandos and pastries. I had the best bagel and lox you'd find in a 100 mile radius. Fast and friendly service, and a cool upper seating area!

This is a small cafe. It doesn't look like much on the inside. We wanted a simple breakfast. I ordered bagel and lox. It was the best bagel and lox I've had in a very long time. The other people with me in my group also raved about their meals.

We stopped here on the way to Tennessee from Pennsylvania. This was such a cute little spot with friendly service and great food! The place was doing some renovating (since the Covid restrictions weren't allowing people to eat inside) but it's good to see they will be prepared when they are lifted. Great spot, thank you! Great food, great prices and the employees are super kind. My daughter has a couple of food allergies and they were more than helpful in helping me figure out something that she can eat. I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I'm a little sad to find out that they no longer do smoothies. We will definitely be back for more.

Really cute place, but not enough seating. We took our food home to eat it. I got the chicken salad which came on a homemade croissant (delicious). The chicken salad was definitely unique, but good. We got pastries for our ride home. The naughty brownie was HEAVENLY. The chocolate chip cookie was yummy. The cupcakes were ok. To be fair, we ate them about 8 hours after leaving there. Would definitely go back...I want to try the pimento cheese next time.

I typically love coming to this establishment and studying. Today we came in to get lunch and work on some school work. I asked the worker if there were any nuts in the chicken salad I was ordering and she assured me there wasn’t, that she had made it herself. When I got my order, there were walnuts in it. I had only taken a bite and luckily not anaphylactic, but not thrilled to be sick now. When I informed them, there was no apology and when I asked if I could order something else the response was “if you want”. This cafe and bakery is a hidden gem for sure! Nestled in a historic building is a wonder your taste buds should have the opportunity to experience. Traveling from Richmond, VA to Gatlinburg, TN while being vegan and vegetarian is risky business because there aren't often friendly options far from the interstate. My husband pulled up this cafe and we decided to give it a shot. We were not only not diss appointed but elated to find a plethora of amazing options! Mockingbird is my favorite place to pick-up breakfast. They have the most amazing big bagels (they kind of remind me of warm soft pretzels . I also love their breakfast sandwiches (my favorite is the egg and cheese on potato sourdough, and I'll often get a loaf of this bread to go too .
