"The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the food is mostly enjoyable, though not everything met my expectations. The salmon was tasty but came in a rather small portion considering the high price. The pasta was outstanding, and the burger was quite good as well. However, I found the pretzel and rhubarb tart to be disappointing in flavor. It was rather strange that they have a play area for children but no kid-friendly menu options, apart from the less-than-appetizing pretzel. This is something they definitely need to improve. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5."

"My mother in law loves this place and her and my husband have gone here for years prior to me joining the family! It’s a quaint little gem in Rockford, at the corner of a little strip mall. It has certainly grown on me. The food is affordable and the service is great! My reasoning for the four stars two things. First, the food is subpar. It’s not that it’s not good, it’s just not impressive. Two, is that they need to have a better system for random ppl coming in that aren’t supposed to be there because the last time I went, there was a gentleman that started yelling and it scared everyone. It looked like he was reaching for something while he was walking out and my mind went everywhere. So yes, security or some system needs to be put in place as this was the second time something like this happens. Other than that, the food is decent esp for the price!"

"We hadn’t dined in at Lucha Cantina for a while, as we felt the restaurant took a turn, and the dishes weren’t quite up to our standards. However, after hearing about the menu changes, we decided to give it another try after a year, and let’s just say—Lucha Cantina is back! We started with the Chips n’ Guacamole plus two salsas, which were a perfect way to kick off the meal, complemented by their delicious margaritas. For the main course, I had the Hongos Tacos (mushroom), which were amazing and reminiscent of the ones they had a few years ago. My boyfriend opted for the shrimp tacos, and he thoroughly enjoyed them as well. The menu now features some mouthwatering new dishes, and the variety of vegetarian options is fantastic—everything looked so appetizing that we’re excited to come back and try more. The environment inside has always been a little on the darker side, but the patio remains a great option for a more relaxed and airy dining experience. We’ve always had great service and overall, Lucha Cantina has truly redeemed itself. We’re happy to make it a regular spot again!"

"on Sunday we met another couple for the breakfast buffet **** marienbar. we just wanted to be there a few hours. well, 6 hours later we left! eating was great, the drinks flowing becky out server was on their game. becky made sure that we were well equipped that the drinks appeared on time or faster. our food order was made to perfection pat (the owner) bought the table a round of drinks. I have not given much attention to whiskeys roadhouse, I can only say to my part. a fool I should throw away from here. the service was incredible, again becky made us feel like we were just table in the joint, it was a packed house! the food was great, the drinks could not be stopped. one of the best times we had in a long time. you must come from whiskeys experience how to get out of the house, a good time has really look!"

"Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the stunning view from our table right by the windows. However, we soon noticed a vent blowing cold air onto us throughout our meal, adding to the already chilly atmosphere in the restaurant. Despite this, the food was exceptional and presented beautifully. Our server was friendly and efficient, although the noise level increased around 2pm when chairs were being dragged across the floor as other tables were still in use. We were a bit perplexed by the restaurant's policy of allowing 2pm reservations, only to be informed that we needed to come in earlier as the cooks left by that time. Nonetheless, we didn't mind adjusting our timing. The tea was outstanding and the seating comfortable, overall making for a pleasant dining experience."
