Stopped in for the first time recently after reading a review. Possibly the best kimchi I've gotten in New York.

Ordered donkatsu, Kimbop and rice with bulging-everything was mediocre. The pork was dry, kimbop didn't taste that fresh and everything had an overpowering sweetness for savory food.

My favorite place to buy Korean side dishes or rice cakes. Fresh everyday and very quick service. All the foods are labeled and ingredients jotted down for consumers to see. Clean inside and almost all the foods taste good! View menu

so convenient! Lots of options to choose from and great for picnics, quick grab and go! I keep coming back to try new stuff! Love the pickled cucumbers and fried shrimp kimbab, bento boxes are pretty good too! Japchae is yummy and great for sharing! Good option for catering too if you have potluck.

Clean and well organized store with fresh banchan, soups, prepared set lunch boxes and sweets. Also, frozen dumplings. I just tried kimchi , seaweed salad , fish cake and pickled radish. All were fresh , not overly salty and bursting with flavor. I'm a nonasian old white lady. I didn't feel like there was a language barrier and the cashier was quite friendly. If I didn't already order soup from the place next door I'd try their little meal boxes. Luckily it's around the corner from my parents so I'll pick up some meals another time. I liked this store. Ari B. is onto something by recommending going early, which I did. Not so early that they'd just opened, but early enough (9am) that they were still stocking the shelves with freshly prepared, warm items. I hadn't had breakfast yet, so a helping of kimbap plus a serving of an egg omelette was a totally comforting and nourishing way to start the day. The whole store is basically self-serve, with both non-refrigerated shelves of prepared items as well as refrigerators full of banchan and other items. Convenient and tasty Korean food that you can heat and eat at home. Whether it's their cold side dishes, warm dishes, their soups or even their homemade drinks almost everything is fantastic. Not too salty and made with care, it reminds me of food made at home. Plus, the food is super consistent over many many visits! Some of my favorite dishes include the sweet and sour pork (don't forget to pick up the side container of sauce! , meat patties with its hint of ginger, sweet sticky chicken wings, collagen filled beef bone soup, and slight spicy bean paste stew. The cinnamon persimmon punch packs a powerful kick and is perfectly cooling in the summer. While the soondae and kimbap are just fine...

They're amazing! I needed a new caterer stat after the person who was originally going to cater my son's dol canceled on me with less than a week's notice. I panicked, but Yelp came to my rescue. Despite never having tried anything here before, I trusted all the five star reviews and the fact that they could do my catering with only a few day's notice. I ordered enough food for 25 people (galbi jjim, fried rice, fried mandu, japchae, mung bean pancakes, squash jeon, fish jeon, kimbap, pickles, spinach, and tteok), which costs around $500.
