"I opted for the Bistek Zacatecano, which featured strips of beef and onions in a spicy sauce. They described it as hot, and indeed, it left a delightful burn on my lips. The steak was flavorful, not just spicy, but it was also tough, while the onions added a hint of sweetness. I would have preferred more onions with the beef and a bit less sauce to create a better balance. As for the sides of refried beans and rice, they were pretty standard and rather dull. The rice was dry but had some decent flavor beneath it. The beans, on the other hand, were uninspiring. I really wish someone would reinvent the typical beans and rice to offer something new and creative. On a positive note, we dined outside in a lovely little nook, which was quite pleasant. The staff, though young, were friendly and efficient. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. The food had flavor, the staff were nice, and the outdoor seating was enjoyable."

My absolute favorite spot in the St. Louis area! Great value for some truly fantastic food! The simple atmosphere is actually a plus for me because it's not overwhelmingly noisy. However, I’ve only been there for lunch. I prefer the Fenton location over Ballwin! View menu

I don?t do reviews often, but this place was too good not to tell people! The owner/staff were awesome and the food was fantastic! Seriously, the best authentic Mexican restaurant I?ve ever been to! We are just passing through the area and stumbled across it? we will definitely be back soon!

This is one of only a few local Mexican restaurants that offer Ceviche. The first time I had it-I was amazed that it actually had some real heat, w hutch I loved. Second time exactly the same. The next several times we visited there were zero jalapeño’s in the dish and no heat. They provided various hot sauces which helped, but nothing takes the place of fresh spicy jalapeños. Their Margs are great (and strong) and the other classics I have had were solid. I would definitely recommend this place in a literal “sea” of Mexican places nearby. Please please PLEASE add jalapeños back to your ceviche. Don’t be afraid to offer really spicy dishes. People like me crave them and most places stick to...
