The Original Mr. Bruno's Pizzeria

I must say that the food is consistently fresh and delicious, no matter the time of day! During our last two visits, which were just before closing, the pizzas were exceptional. I've often found that other restaurants, even when they're nearing closing time, don't maintain the same quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised here.

I wouldn’t recommend the Chicken Milanese, as it had a peculiar taste reminiscent of scrambled eggs. The coating seemed to be made with an egg wash instead of the traditional breading used in Milanese dishes. The Penne Vodka, priced at $18, tasted like it came from a jar; the pasta was watery and lacked flavor. This was my first experience ordering here, and it will definitely be my last.

This place has gone downhill drastically over the years. The penne vodka is watery and bland now. I recently ordered a square pie, one of the things I can?t usually go wrong with, and it came PIPING HOT with the cheese and sauce running everywhere. They didn?t wait for it to cool at all and shoved it in a pizza box and smashed the lid down so everything was a mess when it arrived. This is the second time this has happened. View menu

I would advise against visiting this restaurant. No matter what you order, you’ll likely receive something completely different. This isn't just a one-time issue; it's a recurring problem. If you have any allergies, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. After being a loyal customer for over 30 years, I can genuinely say you should consider dining elsewhere if you want to avoid disappointment. This restaurant doesn't even deserve a single star.

The song/movie might sing, we don't talk about Bruno, but I'm signing to the top of my lungs about how delicious Mr Bruno's pizza is. We flew into Newark and drove up to near our hotel and a quick search lead us to here for lunch. While the community feel was in full force as the local school had released the senior kids they all lined up for slice of pie! We sat down for table service to see all the offerings. Wow I could have stayed there and put myself into a food coma! Delicious!

As usual, the food was delicious; but the same cannot be said for the service. We waited for dinner for a while. We were served our ducks, followed by our appetizers, and finally my salad. We took most of them home, as it was impossible to enjoy the food as it was served almost all at once. We would definitely order food for collection, but in the future do not dinate. Ordered chkn parm sandwich. Had to throw out it was burnt. See photos. They seemed to have forgotten I was waiting there (at the counter). I asked and the girl got my sandwich n I left. It was supposed to be on garlic bread and I don't think it was. I just can't believe they thought it acceptable to wrap and serve this. They should have remade the order even if you had to tell me it was an oversight and are making it now. In the garbage it went minus what chicken I could salvage from it. Very disappointed had been here for lunch last year and it was great.

Pizza is below average and has to be the rudest staff In town. Other than the two HS girls who work the front everyone in there acts like they are doing you a favor. The guy running the place in the front has 0 social or customer service skills and thewaiters all seem like they hate their job. Overall in simple a bunch of miserable people the food ls not anybetter. UPDATE: I have since returned and the guy making the pizza with no customer service skills seems to be gone. The newguy is professional and courteous. Although he don?t make the pizza that too has improved. I also have had a few other disheswhich are very good. Overall seems all the workers have much better attitudes, I guess they...
