"Everything was awesome (it always is), we made a reservation for 4:30 PM and had to move it and also add to our party and they were accommodating and wonderful. The food portions are huge and the menu is fantastic, something for everyone and then some. We live in NJ and venture out to Brooklyn just for Nargis."

Good food but slow service. Too many loud children. Parking near restaurant is difficult.

Yummy food and great service, even the high chair was padded. We ate: manti, samsa, ground lamb and chicken kebab, plov, chicken wing kebab, flat bread, fries, passion fruit lemonade. Price was reasonable and would definitely go back. View menu

I mean...It's a pure feast. The best lamb skewers I ever had. And the spring salad is probably the best salad in the city, period. Hands down. The bread is delicious, you can get a whole bottle of vodka for like $25 or something...Really a bacchanal!

For an introduction to Uzbeki food or for the veteran Uzbeki diner, Nargis is THE place. Beautifully presented assorted appetizer plate, amazing samsa, pilaf, kebobs. Attentive and friendly wait staff. Thumb’s up all the way. Worth the trip to Coney Island Ave.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
