"This place is amazing! The owners are awesome and very friendly. The food is extremely fresh and flavorful, with perfect seasoning. Among all the chicken joints, this one is the best. The Carne Asada melts in your mouth and the Yucca has the perfect balance of crunchiness and softness. The vegetarian options are deliciously seasoned. The service is great, perfect for takeout. Overall, it's a great spot for dinner."

"We were disappointed to discover that Passion Fish was no longer serving fried flounder. In all the years we have been regular customers, they have always had it available. I decided to try the crab cake, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. My husband ordered the Bronzino with tamarind sauce and hot chilis, similar to what comes with the fried flounder, and he enjoyed it. Our waitress was friendly, but the service was slow considering the limited number of tables occupied that evening. The fried flounder holds a special place in my heart, so we will definitely return. However, I will call ahead before making a reservation next time to ensure they have the flounder in stock."

"stopped in at Bombay Velvet having made an Open Table reservation for dinner en route to Dulles Airport to pick up our daughter that's all by way of saying we were thinking of a good one course meal to have instead, due to the holiday season, the restaurant only had a five course prix fixe at $85 more food and more money than we were anticipating it should have been more clearly stated on Open Table or at the very least by the hostess before seating us. It was a bit awkward as we had already ordered drinks and didn't feel we could just walk out once it was clear there was no a la carte option. Having said that, the food was absolutely delicious, and I would most definitely return happy to do the prix fixe if I would choose to do it in advance, but also excited to explore an a la carte menu. Bombay Velvet is elevated Indian and I look forward to a next opportunity. (BTW fabulous vegetarian choices)"

"First time and it won’t be our last! Zefferellis came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted upon entering and sat promptly. Our waitress immediately came over to greet us and presented us with our menus, brought us bread and water, and explained the specials. We ordered wine, and ordered our food; we had their calamari and zucchini frite, lightly battered and fried to perfection, the sauce was a slightly spiced marinara sauce that was extremely delicious. For our entrees my wife ordered the linguine with white clam sauce, her pasta was al dente and the sauce was great with a good amount of clams in and out of the shell. I ordered the Cleopatra special, linguine with a spicy pink sauce, with mussels, scallops, shrimp and lobster tail; when it came out I was amazed at the amount of seafood that was on the plate! The plate was lined with mussels, there were three large shrimp and three large scallops, and to top it off the lobster tail was a 6-8 oz tail tender and sweet. It was our anniversary celebration so the waitress brought out a plate with “Happy Anniversary” on it with a pannacotta dessert topped with a berry compote, it was delicious. I highly recommend Zefferellis !!!"

"The food was spot on, but the review is primarily dropped down due to bad service. We went here around 7.45 PM on Sunday for our anniversary dinner. We reached and were looking around for a minute or two. Nobody was there as a host to get us a table. Finally somebody came around and got us seated. We sat down on a table, but they were having oysters at next table, so it had a smell. Being vegetarians, we are not used to it. So we asked if we could switch somewhere else. Our server, a 40-45 yr old gentleman, just started moving stuff and giving us rude looks. I mean we just asked to move. When seated, they brought us out the complimentary garlic knots. We were excited to try them seeing the reviews here. They were raw/undercooked. When he came around, we asked if he could replace them with a more cooked batch. He said what else do you want. Everybody eat it, nobody complains. I said we would like to try this, just something that is a little more cooked and not doughy like this. Begrudgingly, he took it back and brought a fresh batch. His wine suggestions were spot on. We really enjoyed that. Bruschetta was fresh and amazing. Must try. I tried penne pasta linguine, which was just okay. My wife tried cheese raviole with rose sauce, which was delicious. Highly recommend the latter, former can be ignored. All this while not one server has come to check on anything or refill water. Our original server was MIA, and somebody else took our entrees order. They were moving about in the dining area, so not sure why they wouldn’t check on if we need more wine or water. We finished our dinner and waited 5-10 mins for them to come so we could place our dessert order. Eventually we just took it to-go. Tiramisu was amazing as well.. I got no network in the restaurant, so could not self pay. But had to wait and wave again for them to take my card. The food was great and we enjoyed the wine too, but we had really high hopes based on the reviews we had read. I wish the service was better, it was totally atrocious and put a dampener on the whole experience."
