"Where’s my refund? I don’t even know where to start! My frustration led me to contact the health department about my experience because the food was overpriced and way too hot. I ordered a 10-piece wing basket, but what I received was crispy pieces with barely any meat—just bones! The fries were greasy and tasted like pure oil, and the 6 wings I got were tiny—almost like baby wings! As a grown man, I wasn’t expecting to be disappointed by my meal, especially not in this heat. Now the restaurant is closed, and I've wasted my money on this overpriced food. Don’t believe the hype; if you eat here, your taste buds are in for a rough time. Even my dog didn’t want to eat what was left over. All I want is my refund and to restore my ruined taste buds!"

The service was cool the facility appeared clean. The chicken wasn’t terrible but the grease the chicken was cooked in was most definitely used longer than it should be. The fries were soggy from the jump. The flavoring was fairly basic and the price is a little high for the chicken not to be amazing.

The catfish was so good! Fries were also really good also! No complaints, will be back to try their wings and tenders! Just make sure you call and order first then add 20 minutes to the wait time given LOL. Other than that great small business and really glad I found this place. Spent $20 even on a 3 piece catfish plate. Big portions. View menu

Kid-friendliness: They offer kids' meals, which are budget-friendly for adults too—I'd recommend ordering one. Just be sure to supervise, as the meals come out really hot. Parking: Parking can be limited since the restaurant is located in a charming shopping area with several other businesses nearby. Depending on the time and how busy those businesses are, you may need to walk a bit or circle around to find a spot.

The first time I visited, the fish was delicious. However, during my most recent visit, I ordered three catfish filets, two wings, fries, and turnip greens. Unfortunately, two of the three catfish filets had an off taste; I could tell it was swai because it had a strong fishy flavor. The turnip greens were also disappointing, tasting as if they had vinegar added. The wings were fried too hard for my liking. On a positive note, the service was excellent and the sauce was very tasty.

I am disgusted. I am deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. You try to support a black owned business and this is what I get in return? I will be contacting the health department because clearly they need their license revoked. This food was food that clearly never should have been served. Look at the pictures, be honest, would you eat this? If you say yes, you need help. It was way too expensive for this trash, we waited 40+ minutes for this mess and I will be contacting corporate and the manager because yall to fix this and satisfy your customer instead of worrying about money. This is people's health you playing with. And you better not delete my review because I will keep posting it every...

"On my first visit, I tried the Southern Shrimp and Grits, which were simply amazing—stone-ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp, enhanced by a flavorful mix of peppers and bacon. Chef Jeff and his team use fresh sirloin in their chili, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is exceptional, and the concept behind it is truly inspiring. I now volunteer here regularly. Chef Jeff and his wife, Julie, have a mission: "Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that they may 'taste and see that the Lord is good'” (Psalm 34:8). Customers can choose to: 1) pay what they can afford, 2) pay the standard price for a similar restaurant, or 3) pay a little extra to help those who are less fortunate. This creates a beautiful and fulfilling experience. They are open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend making a reservation and letting the hostess know. Diners are seated using a "paced method" to ensure the volunteer staff isn’t overwhelmed, but any wait is certainly worth it! Be sure to try the pour-over coffee or refreshing lemonade, and sample small plates like bruschetta or farro salad, as well as main dishes such as the apple bacon sandwich, crispy potatoes, burgers, shrimp and grits, and chili. And don’t overlook the dessert—it’s indulgent! I can’t express enough how much I adore this place!"
