Oregano's Pizza Bistro

Meet with a group of 12 on a Friday night homecoming weekend. It was packed, but I guess that's pretty normal. They are small but big on taste and it seems everyone knows that. We waited about 90 minutes, but enjoyed cocktails and appetizers at the small (read minute) bar. The staff is super friendly and they pour a nice drink. However, bar is limited. The food was great. Loved the casual college city atmosphere.

Oregano's is a regional Italian chain with numerous locations throughout the Phoenix metro area, two in Tucson, and one in Flagstaff. With a shortage of quality Italian restaurants (or really any for that matter) in the Northern Arizona region, the Flagstaff location comes in as a nice casual Italian dining choice. Decent food, great service, and a creative menu would bring me back to Oregano's for some tasty comfort food.

The previous reviewer is correct in saying that this restaurant is always bustling, which is understandable given the quality of the experience. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is charmingly casual, perfect for a college town setting. I wouldn't recommend trying to dine here with a large group on a busy night, but a quiet lunch for two or three outside of peak hours would be ideal. Charming with Plenty of Character, Big Portions, Fresh Tasting Foods, Friendly Staff. Took a chance on this place back in November 14 had a fantastic meal. The mini deep dish was phenomenal and I'm not even usually a fan of deep dish. The mushroom appetizer was unique, a large shareable portion, and tasty as heck. We recommended this place to some friends from out of country and they eat at Oregano's today and they've reported (real time) that the place was killer. Would go back here in a New York minute next time I'm in Flagstaff.

The restaurant offers a variety of American and Italian food options, but my favorite is their wings. I recommend trying their Hot Wings of Fire, but be prepared to have plenty of water or beer on hand to cool down your taste buds. Despite often having a wait, the experience is worth it. Located on the NAU campus, it is a fun spot that locals have deemed the best place for a first date in Flagstaff, as well as the best pizza spot multiple times. I suggest going prepared to wait at least thirty minutes (reservations not accepted) and ordering pizza, wings, and a beer. Don't forget to save room for dessert - their pizza cookie is truly outstanding!

What a great time! I heard about Oregano's from a friend that had visited Flagstaff. Every member of their family seemed to enjoy the place. No exception here. The parking lot is too small for the restaurant, but once you find a legal spot, get ready for some good food. While we waited for our seat, the manager came out with some cheese bread. He was really friendly. We asked a few questions about the restaurant and while talking with him, he decided to improve our vacation by buying us dessert!
