"One of the last true Jewish Delicatessens in St. Louis. Stellar pastrami and corned beef and an excellent selection of pastries and baked goods (the cinnamon Babka is fantastic). Nice niche selection of sodas, chips, condiments and other deli items forsale as well. Seating is limited (outside area is nice when the weather cooperates) but worth picking up even if you don?t havethe time to stay and eat. I won?t go to any other deli."

This place is wonderful. Family owned. Feel like I walked back in time when I walk into the door. Great service. LARGE sandwiches. Try the hot corned beef Ruben sandwich. Great bagels. Fantastic smoked salmon.

We had the corned beef and pastrami leaves and the Rachel (Turkey leaves). Both excellent! The rye was crunchy and everything was fresh from the grill. The owner was there and what a big man! Will definitely be back.

First the service is over the top ...deli with history.. service with a smile .... fantastic flavors and cozy atmosphere...the young gentleman who waited on us was very professional and performed magic with the corned beef and pastrami sandwich

Today was my first time trying Protzel’s Deli. I ordered the Turkey Reuben, and it was pretty delicious. The service was good, even though it took a while to make my sandwich. I was also surprised that they had an aisle of food like a convenience store and their own apparel too. I will be back sometime. View menu

What a delight to visit an authentic Jewish deli! They have a fantastic variety of kosher items. The chopped liver was excellent—not too sweet at all. The lox were beautifully prepared, tender yet firm enough to stay on the bagel. I can't wait to get home and enjoy the rest of the delicious treats we purchased!
