"After delivering my baby, I couldn 't find the time nor the energy to cook like I used to. I was craving Vietnamese hot home meals that didn 't break the bank. This place was a savior! It is a hole in a wall, but it is well maintained and clean. I usually buy a week worth of dishes and they would last for the entire time. I like their whole fish fried, stuffed tofu, cà ri gà (chicken curry , ragu gà (chicken ragu , stir-fried veggies. Honestly, you can 't go wrong with any of it. It 's also okay if you don 't know what the dishes are called. This type of place is also known to serve cơm chỉ in Vietnamese, which means you use your finger to point at the dishes you want. How much of it depends on the container size that you choose (small, large, etc. . You can definitely dine in as there are tables. The lady behind the counter is also very sweet. The best part is that they accept credit cards!"

Great low price food for lunch or dinner cafeteria style. The fried fish is one of the best.

A great option for those on a budget. However, some menu items are slightly on the expensive side.

The best Traditional Vietnamese food in HoustonIf you ever crave grandma's cooking, this is where to go. We live in Austin but anytime we have a chance to go to Houston this is our must stop. If I could give Di Tu more than 5 star I would. View menu

The restaurant offers home-cooked style dishes with friendly, down-to-earth service at reasonable prices. However, during our visit, it was quite hot inside, so better air circulation or air conditioning set to a lower temperature would be appreciated.

This restaurant offers delicious home-cooked Vietnamese food at very reasonable prices, with most dishes falling within the $4-$8 range. I ordered the Canh (soup), which included a few pork meatballs for just $5, and it reminded me of my mom's cooking. I also tried the clay pot catfish, which was a generous portion for one person at only $6. I'm happy to support this family-run spot that serves authentic, traditional dishes for an affordable price. I'm really glad I discovered this place, especially since I'm getting tired of newer Vietnamese restaurants that have oversized portions or gimmicky extras that push the lunch bill over $20.
