"I was so pleased to read about the reopening of Rattan, but was, sadly, disappointed with the experience. The lighting is more chain-restaurant bright, the servers were dressed quite sloppily, and were very slow with service even though there were plenty of them on the floor. There was one menu on the table to share between us- we commented on it and the waiter just shrugged and walked away. The price changes really floored us. They didn't just increase, they went crazy-high. We ended up not staying because even the appetizers were overpriced, yet most were unappealing."

A disastrous experience! They were not ready for the “reopening”. Several items not available and those that were, delivered cold. Worst service ever, and that’s being kind. See my Google review for details.

RSVP for week day Valentines dinner. The place is a very nice bistro with a variety of small bites and dishes. It was not over crowded which was nice. I recommend not to go past 8 pm as they tend to run out of some dishes and specialty drinks.

rattan is consistently good. her kitchen staff is just so good. waitstaff was excellent. we've been mosing for a few years, but a distance away. when we heard, there were new owners that we hoped they kept the menu items we love, Vietnamese garlic beef and shaggy roll. we plan to make the trip soon and keep this great restaurant in our rotation. kudo is on the new management. it seems that more people have found out how well rattan is. I wish I could say our experience was good but it wasn’t. We were happy to hear they were open again and when we checked the menu prior to our visit, we found out they still had some of our favorite dishes. Unfortunately, the name is the same but the recipes are different. So we were very disappointed about that. You can’t keep the same name of dishes to attract old clients but have them taste different. The service is also not great to say the least. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

I thought the service left a lot to be desired. We constantly had to ask for things like water, a knife,. It was a split check, and he really did not understand what we were trying to do. Maybe naïve on my part for the bill, but certainly the water glass should be refilled more than one during the evening. Took a long time to get the knife in order to cut some of the food. I thought the prices were high in the amount of food was lacking. The quality of the food was very good however
