"We went for Father’s Day brunch, the place was packed, but we were seated pretty quickly. Coffee was great and in big mugs, the place is adorable and rustic. Love all the signs and the waitresses are very nice, cannot complain about the service. Unfortunately, our meal was disappointing. Eggs were not cooked as requested and the burger was also underdone. The hash browns were honestly off-putting, something they season them with makes them taste like an ashtray, very smokey/ like a cigarette. We wanted to like this place, the food is just better at our local diner "

Family friendly, small town American restaurant. Interesting menu and specials lots of variety. Prices range $10 20 per entrée. Staff were not especially welcoming and seemed frazzled. View menu

It is such a cute quaint place. They have a large menu and the food is wonderful. All their baked goods are home made on the premises. The muffins are huge. The people are so friendly.

I visited on Labor Day Monday and found the restaurant bustling with locals. The staff was very friendly, and the menu offered a wide variety of options. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Plus, the outdoor patio is dog-friendly, which is a nice bonus!

Place is awful. Mouse droppings on the floor. Totally unsanitary bathroom. Services sub par and food over priced. Better off going to the Butler diner, better food, price and clean. Health department should shut the Red Barn down for risk of spreading disease. View menu

Indoor and outdoor picnic tables lets you know this is a comfortable place for breakfast and lunch, but understand the comfort food is absolutely delicious! Everyday brings wonderful specials for both breakfast and lunch! Highly recommend! Close off Exit 47 of Rt. 287.

Just left after a wonderful lunch. This place is so homey and charming! We were seated immediately, even though they were very busy. I had a great chicken salad platter. Not salty and very fresh. Nice waitress, who got all of the orders right. My companions had a burger platter, and French toast with lots of fresh fruit. So satisfying!

"I've been visiting Rails Steakhouse for years and recently stopped in for a friend's birthday dinner on a Saturday evening at 8:30pm. The restaurant was packed and the vibe was great. There are three levels to this romantic steakhouse nestled in Towaco just next door to the train station. Keep in mind, on the weekends, they usually have complimentary valet service, which is nice. Upon entry, you're greeted by their friendly hostess and the main level of the restaurant, with a bar on the side. The upstairs level is another dining area with bar and that's where we were seated. The lower level of this restaurant and their speakeasy, Thirty3, is the best part part about this place; check out my review on this MUST visit well kept secret in NJ. Our party of 12 ordered some drinks by the bar while we waited for our table. We were then seated and promptly brought over menus. The general manager Mike, came over to greet us and apologized for the long wait and as a courtesy offered us complimentary pizzas. I thought this was a nice touch, and made us all feel valued as guests. Our server was equally as accommodating and patient with our entire party, offering his recommendations and thoughts on the menu items. None of which disappointed. I ordered a bottle of wine which wasn't terribly priced and quite delicious as it paired nicely with the lamb chops that I ordered for dinner. Everyone else at the table seemed very pleased with their entrees as there was a moment of complete silence as everyone enjoyed their meal LOL...(usually a good sign). At the end of the meal, the staff came out with assorted desserts and sang well wishes to the birthday boy. Overall, if you are looking for a dining option for a special occasion, date night or a delicious meal, Rails Steakhouse is a MUST try. Conveniently located with good service, romantic vibe and delicious bites, you won't be disappointed. Tip: If you have time to kill before or after your dinner, please don't miss out on visiting their cozy speakeasy, Thirty3, on the ground level, thank me later!!!"

"As a self-proclaimed bagel aficionado, I couldn't resist stepping into the warm and welcoming embrace of Boonton Bagels and Gourmet Deli. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked bagels that immediately tantalized my senses. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with the cheerful staff, made it clear that I was in for a treat. The menu boasted a diverse array of options, but I ultimately settled on the classic Everything Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese. The anticipation was palpable as I watched the bagel being toasted to perfection. When it finally arrived, I was presented with a visually stunning masterpiece. The golden brown crust was generously coated with a blend of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic, onion, and salt, creating a mosaic of flavors waiting to be savored. As I took my first bite, I was met with a harmonious symphony of tastes and textures. The outer crust was perfectly crisp, providing a satisfying crunch that beautifully contrasted with the soft, chewy interior. The blend of seeds and spices on the Everything Bagel was expertly balanced; each ingredient had a moment to shine without overpowering the others. The plain cream cheese was a smooth, velvety companion to the bagel, adding a cool, creamy touch that complemented the warm bread and bold flavors impeccably. What sets Boonton Bagels and Gourmet Deli apart from the rest is not just their mouth-watering bagels, but the passion and dedication that goes into crafting each one. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in every bite, making it an unforgettable experience for any bagel lover. In conclusion, Boonton Bagels and Gourmet Deli is a must-visit for anyone in search of an extraordinary bagel experience. The combination of a warm, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and, most importantly, their truly exceptional Everything Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese has left an indelible mark on my taste buds. I can't wait for my next visit to indulge in more of their scrumptious creations."
