"This has been our family’s go-to Chinese restaurant for a while now, although I have noticed the value slipping a little lately. My “honey walnut shrimp” came with seven shrimp and the container was mostly full with broccoli and mushrooms. Call it what it is; if I order shrimp I expect shrimp. If I knew it would be 90% broccoli and mushrooms I would have ordered something different. Also their beef quality has recently gotten very poor. About half of the beef is inedible due to being too tough and sinewy. When we first started ordering here the beef was much higher quality. The prices of the food, however, have remained unchanged."

ordered lunch-never seen such small portions!! For $12.50??The wonton soup was teeny tiny, and tasted awful. The rice was dried out, I'm going to have to go out again for take out lunch!! Do not go to this place!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon at noon, right when the restaurant opened. We seated ourselves and were quickly attended to by the staff. The food was absolutely delicious! For the vegetarian options, I chose the tofu with black bean sauce, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced!

Our most favorite Chinese food stop in the chapel hill. Food is always fresh and very authentic. We usually get monk fish and hubby’s favorite is Pekin crispy duck. I wish they had a bigger choice of desserts and teas. Service is always a top and server is always super friendly and quick. View menu

The best Chinese food in the triangle, especially for vegetarians (they have a great mock chicken they can substitute in most dishes). A true Chapel Hill institution since the days it was Charlies with consistent wonderful food and don't miss out on the Chinese specials menu page for less common authentic Chinese dishes. I hope they stay in business for another 30 years!

Bone shards in the food, on pourpose.This place used to be really good. Now its just another chinese place with well designed menus. I got chestnut chicken and not only did it look like a gore bag, it had CRUSHED BONES in it. It seems this was on pourpose as some of the cuts (on the bones) were done with a knife or something. It tasted ok but still not worth the price.Please stop putting bone shards in your food, incase you don't know they can shred your intestines.
