"First time at the new location and totally loved it. Sat at the bar and ordered a couple of appetizers with our cocktails. The bartenders Ozzy and Carlos were excellent and super attentive. The pour for the wine and bourbon we ordered was plentiful. We ordered the goat cheese toast and slab bacon salad which were both delicious. The chef/owner Kevin was very engaging when out of the kitchen like a typical Clarkstown South graduate from the 80's lol. Looking forward to going back and having a com … – show"

Quaint decor. Surf Turf and Goat Cheese Toast are stellar. Love that the Chef checks in. Must-go.

Been here a few times with my family and the food is truly exceptional. They have unique menu with fresh ingredients, and the staff is always pleasant.

Excellent dining experience. The meal, service and atmosphere were spot on. It was great to see folks happy, eating great food and having light conversations. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

First visit this evening. Highly recommend. Each dish was more amazing than the previous. Hostess and wait staff made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. Hidden gem in South Rockland that you must try. Look forward to returning. View menu

I love the food! One of my favorite restaurants in rockland county. Tonight's service was slightly disappointing. We sat for 15 minutes and I had to let the host know that a waiter had not been over. After that they were on top of it and we enjoyed the rest of our meal.

I would give this place 3.5 stars if possible. Still trying to decide if I would give me a second chance. While some dishes were close to outstanding (filet, venison), others such as lobster fried rice were pretty bland. The place wasn't super busy and it seemed to be well staffed. However, the service was spotty as our waiter forgot to bring ordered items on two separate occasions.

Roost has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is consistently right on the mark. Last night we had the chicken, filet, pasta, and tile fish. All cooked to perfection. You pick your side, your protein, and then the sauce you want. I had the chimichurri on the tile fish. Best I ever had. The doughnuts and dipping sauces are a great way to finish. You must go to Roost. Reservations recommended. View menu

Left the confines of Bronxville for a daring escape to the other side of the Hudson River. There I came upon a jewel of a restaurant down a winding road along the western bank heading south. The decor harps back to another era but with a modern unfussy heartiness. As the first course, I dined on a fanciful twist of a falafel salad with a blistered eggplant. As the main I dined on a most savory chicken, every crispy bite revealing freshness.

Zero stars for the food, four stars for the staff. The food was way overpriced (coming from two native Manhattanites) and it took 90 minutes for our main courses to arrive, but the biggest issue was that the venison made my husband violently ill. So ill that we had to pull over on the way home because he started heaving on the dashboard while driving. This place has amazing reviews, so it must usually do well, but for us this was a disaster so we won't be back.
