Runway Cafe - Menu

Treated the family to a birthday lunch. This place is such a hidden gem. So much fun to watch the pilots bring in their planes. Great service and everyone loved their food.

Grilled shrimp did not taste like they were fresh from the Gulf. The tuna steak was served a bit too rare. Service was a bit slow considering how few customers there were at the time.

Delicious food with a side of wonderful service! Great atmosphere! Such a nice laid back, yet EXCITING place to have a yummy yummy meal!!!! Definitely go witness this airplane ? experience!!! Dine in or take- out the food will not disappoint!!

We had a great lunch experience today. When we walked in the place was packed I thought it might take awhile to get our food but we got it quickly, staff was amazing and the owner stopped and talked and thanked everyone for coming out. This restaurant is fantastic! We occasionally fly in, and other times we drive here on our way to go fishing at the coast. The food is excellent quality and reasonably priced. I usually order the grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables, and it's always incredibly tasty and fresh. They've experienced a slowdown in business due to road construction that made it more difficult to access the airport from 288, but I believe the construction is now finished.

The burger was tall and delicious. However, the $20 steak was inedible—tough, overcooked, and had a strange, almost rotten taste. When I sent it back, they gave me a small discount since I had only eaten three small (jumbo) shrimp, which were actually quite good. They charged me full price for the untouched sides, which were a premium at about $6.99 for the vegetables and baked potato. I was really hoping for a decent, edible steak and left feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to order a burger instead.

What can I say about the Runway Cafe, except it is very hard to get a seat at times, I guess that says it all about their food, I have been coming to the Runway for quite some time and they always have excellent food. The owner is a very outgoing, talking to his guest and his staff is the same, very polite and professional. After church on Sundays a few of us will go out for lunch, a few is generally over 10 and more like 15, and they are always willing to accommodate what ever amount we have.
