As always, very good food preparation, good quality, and cooking show by the chef table side. Fun night. Very busy there, all tables full and bar waiting area full. You definitely need reservations to be able to eat on the weekends.

The restaurant was disappointing. The fried rice was supposed to contain egg and vegetables, as shown in the picture, but it did not meet expectations. The sweet potato roll was tasty, but the tempura vegetables were mediocre. My wife had the tempura dish as well.

Food and service were really good. Beautiful bartender and hostess. Red sun in the back seems closed and both Japanese and Chinese dishes are served in Sakura. Nice atmosphere. We liked to order both sushi and Chinese dishes. Do not be surprised to be sent to the bar, even if on time for reservation. Worked for us as a whole. View menu

We tried Sakura Home for the first time tonight and were pleasantly surprised. They have added a new vegetarian and vegan menu with a variety of tasty options. I ordered the vegetable hibachi dinner, which came with mushroom soup and aged tofu. The others in my group tried the rainbow vegetable sushi and yaki soba, all of which were delicious. This was the best Japanese food we have had in Rochester and we definitely plan on coming back. The atmosphere was quite enjoyable and the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions about the ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I got the rainbow roll, I loved the rainbow roll, and the chef made it beautiful for me. I am not a food photographer, this plate-up required it. I have also had the Japanese style Shumi, and the Dragon roll (methinks). The Dragon roll was delightful, but I prefer no mayo or gluten. Everything is Fresh, the flavors are on point, and the staff is helpful if you need help picking out sushi. Accessibility: This is one of the easiest places I know of to get in and out of. The handicap parking is directly next to the doors, the entire gradient is flat. Even if the marked spots are taken, none of the parking is far. We waited approx. 5 minutes, while the receptionist took a phone call. Dining area non-hibachi was small, but nicely decorated. The waitress who sat with menus, apologized for waiting and asked for our day. Our waiter came about 10 minutes later and apologized for the delay. I ordered the sushi dinner w/eel and tobiko, no shrimp and no seeds. When he brought out the eel, he noticed the sesame seed and took it back. CATCH! He apologized and told me my sushi dinner was out soon. I drank hot tea. My friend ordered the Teriyaki? Chicken. It was very satisfied with the portions and texture of meat and vegetables.
