"What an excellent breakfast place. Old school service and huge portions just like this southern old man likes it! We came in on a Tuesday morning around 8:30am and were the only ones there. Others soon came, but we were promptly greeted with a friendly smile and some menus. We sat wherever we wanted and there was plenty of choices between tables and booths and a really nice down home ambience that included a nod to our beloved Razorbacks. Wanda was our server, and she knew what she was doing. We quickly had our our orders in and had hot coffee and soft drinks along with all the condiments we wanted at our table. We both had a western omelet. I tried the hash browns and my wife had the home fries. We both liked the hash browns better, but both options were good. We also both had the optional biscuit with sausage gravy instead of toast. Perfectly made and delicious! We also wanted to try one of their buttermilk pancakes. It was a huge cake as big as the plate and had a nice maple syrup with it. Our only suggestion would be to replace the margarine with real butter. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with huge portions (we will likely share next time) and outstanding service at reasonable prices. We will definitely be back. Go and check them out!!"

Good food, service ect. Was a little set back buying a 8 oz orange juice (no vodka) for $2.75. Everything else seems reasonable.Food: 4/5

2.75 for 8 oz. Orange just was just crazy. The pancakes were rubbery. The waitress was good, and the eggs and bacon were good. Next time, we won't be ordering OJ.Food: 4/5

Overpriced for mediocre food. Mediocre is being generous. The young guy that was our waiter was outstanding at his job. The quality of what you get for the price you pay needs to be adjusted. View menu

The staff was friendly, and we were seated quickly. The food was hot, fresh, and the portions were generous for the price! I will definitely come back regularly. So, take any negative reviews with a pinch of skepticism!

Sam's did not have many menu options and the food was basic. However, the service was very good and the staff was friendly. Work on the menu and food and it will be a great place to dine.Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and plenty of room to move.

Outstanding customer service! The salad bar was immaculate, and a staff member was consistently keeping it tidy during our time there. I can't recall her name, but the manager truly is fantastic! We will definitely be coming back! Be sure to try the cinnamon dessert breadsticks—they are absolutely amazing! View menu

Sam's Family Diner is an absolute must-visit! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the food is incredibly tasty, and the service is outstanding. It's the perfect place for a memorable meal. If you're seeking a homemade vibe and a comforting experience, this is the spot for you. I especially loved their SAMASAURUS BURGER—it was simply delightful!

I've been going to Sam's for a long time, going back to the old building. Usually for breakfast. I appreciate locally owned diners and other local restaurants. I wasn't happy that they now only serve Chicken Fried Steak on weekends, and really want happy when she said it was now $15.99... a lot more than it used to be. HOWEVER, this Chicken Fried steak is the real deal. Extremely hard to find a hand breaded REAL Steak. Not a pressed one that comes frozen from the food service distributor and ready to drop in the grease. This is the one your mom fried from scratch in the skillet when you were a kid. And it was absolutely huge!!!! My only constructive feedback... wish it was a little smaller a...

"Eat here once a week. I eat here once a week on average. Simple food, but good. kind of like upscale bar food. Generally friendly service, once in awhile you get a waitress that seems not to care to be there but not very often. I wish I could remember the name on the waitress that waits on us most of the time as she is excellent. I recommend the Chicken Tacos, sliced very thin and just perfect for a taco. Another excellent choice is the boneless wings, they may not tell you but you can mix and match the flavors you get on there so try a couple. I do agree with some of the reviews that price to portion can sometimes seem off, but my experience is that it just depends on what you order.<br/ <br/ I also highly recommend the fried Oreos. You have to ask for it, they don't put it on the menu but they are awesomely bad for you as a good dessert should be. I don't eat a lot of beef myself, but friends and family that have had their burgers say they are excellent. The only thing I've been told to avoid is the Ribs, apparently they taste ok but lack in size and quality meat.<br/ <br/ EDIT: I see a couple reviews talking about how it took way to long to be seated. I have an answer for that, you should learn to read. There is a big sign when you walk into the restaurant that says to seat yourself wherever you like. When they are not busy, there is usually somebody there to open the door for you and tell you this but during rush times just find an open seat."
