"Eat here once a week. I eat here once a week on average. Simple food, but good. kind of like upscale bar food. Generally friendly service, once in awhile you get a waitress that seems not to care to be there but not very often. I wish I could remember the name on the waitress that waits on us most of the time as she is excellent. I recommend the Chicken Tacos, sliced very thin and just perfect for a taco. Another excellent choice is the boneless wings, they may not tell you but you can mix and match the flavors you get on there so try a couple. I do agree with some of the reviews that price to portion can sometimes seem off, but my experience is that it just depends on what you order.<br/ <br/ I also highly recommend the fried Oreos. You have to ask for it, they don't put it on the menu but they are awesomely bad for you as a good dessert should be. I don't eat a lot of beef myself, but friends and family that have had their burgers say they are excellent. The only thing I've been told to avoid is the Ribs, apparently they taste ok but lack in size and quality meat.<br/ <br/ EDIT: I see a couple reviews talking about how it took way to long to be seated. I have an answer for that, you should learn to read. There is a big sign when you walk into the restaurant that says to seat yourself wherever you like. When they are not busy, there is usually somebody there to open the door for you and tell you this but during rush times just find an open seat."

"I'm writing this review based on our experience with the tacos. The service was excellent, earning a full 5 stars. The street tacos (served on corn tortillas) also deserve 5 stars. The bathrooms were pretty average and lacked any real character, but I have to give 5 stars for cleanliness and the staff. The rice and beans were average, but I really appreciated the local vibe of the place. We tried three different types of tacos: El Pastor, Chorizo, and Carne Asada, and all were delicious. I highly recommend this place, especially for the tacos. Next time, we’ll definitely try the popular #24."

"When our food was ready, we encountered an issue with the small portion of meat two of our group had planned to share. We went back inside and realized that our misunderstanding of the menu had led to this problem, which was fine. I asked multiple times to order more meat, but the waitress insisted on explaining our confusion instead. I requested to speak with someone else who could assist us in placing an additional order, and she rolled her eyes before fetching the chef. Unfortunately, the chef misunderstood our issue as well and kept talking over me while I tried to place a new order. I finally managed to cut him off to request a half pound of chopped brisket, and it took an interminable 20 minutes for it to be prepared. There was no urgency in getting it to us so we could eat. I eventually informed the manager that we wouldn’t be accepting the food and that we wouldn’t be returning after the disrespectful treatment we received. It’s a pity because the food wasn’t too bad! The okra could have used better breading, but the meat had good flavor. There are definitely better barbecue options nearby, along with far superior service."

"This is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, pizzas in town, and the staff is fantastic. One day, after a long day at work, I ordered a pizza and fell into such a deep sleep that I didn't hear the doorbell or my phone ringing—not even enough to wake up. When I finally woke up, I noticed I had a missed call. I returned the call and was met with such kindness; they were happy to hear that I was okay. To my surprise, they even brought the pizza back to me! Most places wouldn’t go to such lengths!"

"The food was disappointing when dining in, and the service was lackluster as well. In every instance, the food was cold—not just at room temperature, but genuinely cold. During my most recent order, they stated it would be ready in 10 minutes, which was concerning enough, but I arrived in just 5 minutes to find my food already packaged. This suggests that they prepare large quantities in advance and simply microwave orders when they come in. The burnt cheese and sauce on the takeout containers support this theory. Considering it was dinnertime, everything we ordered tasted like it had been sitting around for 2 or 3 days and was only reheated just enough for the cheese to melt. Even if it hadn't been old, the flavor was the worst Mexican food I've ever encountered. We quickly remembered why we had vowed never to eat there again. They slather everything in excessive amounts of cold sauce, perhaps to mask the stale odors from the meat and vegetables. I’ve visited my fair share of mediocre restaurants, chalking the experience up to personal taste, but El Pueblito seems to make a concerted effort to deliver a poor experience. Save your money. Dining in doesn't provide a better experience, and the staff appears disinterested, making it clear they don’t care whether you notice."
