"we made an early dinner before a show in the lincoln center. we were in sapphire a series of times at his previous location further down on broadway. the facility in the original restaurant was much more interesting and elaborate; it had the feeling of india. this was a generic type of space, but the tables were well punched out and we were there. eating was very good. we had lasuni gobi for a starter and then were main courses tandoori prawns and lammsaga. the prices were appropriate for the contrary. service as excellent. recommend when you live in the environment or participate in a performance in the lincoln center."

the room was wonderfully quiet, the service excellent, the eating tasty, but not too spicy.

We tried 2 dishes. Mixed grill and Kerala fish. Presentation and taste were very satisfying.

Mediocre food; for example, my salmon tikka was dry and lacked special flavors. $28 was very costly for this. View menu

Very warm service, excellent naan bread always a good test for an Indian restaurant! Lamb chops superb but didn’t enjoy the shrimp appetiser. Will 100% go back

The dishes were freshly made and flavorfull. The Garlic Naan was the best I ever had. The Lamb Vindaloo spice level was good, however some may like it hotter. The interior was very plain and not representative of a fine Indian resturant. Prices were a little high for the total experience. View menu

The food was delicious although somewhat expensive. The ambience was very nice. My only issue was that the service was a bit slow but when the food was served it was hot. The breads were delayed in coming to our table but thankfully while we still had about half of our entrees left. The staff was friendly.

The service was abominable. Host and maybe 2 waiters for a packed restaurant. Tables were so close together you couldn’t get in or out without disturbing the people next to you. We had a 5:45 reservation and an 8:00 curtain at Lincoln Center. We barely made it in time for the concert. The waiter took our order and disappeared. Every time we asked when our food was coming he would say he will check and never came back to tell us. There is no ambiance in the restaurant. Food prices went up and portions got smaller. Never going back there. We used to love Sapphire in the old location.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
