What a surprise! Came here on a recommendation. Lovely setting in courtyard it was loud inside). Good food, good service. We will be back

This is one of the best charming little boutique restaurants I have ever visited! The service was prompt and efficient, and the food was incredibly flavorful and fresh—absolutely delicious!

I can only give 3 stars because the bread served was stale. It really wasn’t great. The main courses were all great and the appetizers were tasty. Service was good but seemed as though we were being a little rushed through the courses. View menu

When I inquired why we hadn’t been notified of these changes, I was told that the manager simply forgot. I would like to request a response from the owner regarding this inconsiderate oversight. Had we been informed about the situation at Sermet's, we could have chosen to dine at another restaurant. I came across this restaurant since my hotel was just around the corner, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be! The lovely courtyard was full, so I took a seat indoors. When I mentioned to the server that this was one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had, she replied with a smile, "Thanks, I made it." She was multitasking beautifully! The meal was delicious, and Henry Island at night is simply enchanting—a perfect way to stroll off your dinner. I highly recommend it!

The ambiance is very cute, we enjoyed the scenic patio but overall disappointing. The menu was extremely limited, we had a really hard a hard time choosing anything, no filet mignon, no caprese salad, no sweet potato fries and many of the others I see here in the pictures, not sure what happened. I chose the special fish and it was just ok. We did however enjoy the salted caramel cheesecake, it’s delicious. But the thing that turned me off the most was the condition of the women’s restroom, old, run down, poorly decorated and used as a storage unit for chairs and other things, made me question the condition of the kitchen, not what I expect at an expensive restaurant. I recently had the pleasure of dining outside at Sermet's, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, offering a range of delicious options that satisfied both my palate and my appetite. The atmosphere was wonderful, with a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, providing a lively backdrop to our meal. I especially appreciated that the venue was dog-friendly, allowing me to bring along my furry friend to enjoy the outing. I had a reservation at Sermet's Courtyard for this evening, May 18, 2024. My reservation was for outside seating in the courtyard at 5:45pm. I asked upon making the reservation if we would be served inside upon inclement weather. I was assured that we could dine in the front under the overhanging portico in the event of bad weather. When we arrived this evening, we were informed there was to be no outside seating, and we could not sit in front on the porch under the portico. There was NO room for us at the bar, or anywhere in the restaurant! I asked why I was not telephoned about this change. I was told the manager forgot to call people as us expecting to dine outside. Sermet 's Courtyard is a little jewel of a restaurant on Daniel Island. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was funny and delightful. Food was overall very strong. The buttermilk fried shrimp with a very special remoulade was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, light, juicy, and paired with an amazing sauce. The seared salmon was also done perfectly and the orange tarragon aioli on top was a lovely addition. Mashed potatoes and side veggies were good too. A creamy tomato soup with mushrooms was an interesting twist on the classic, and was excellent.
