"Came here on a Friday night with two friends. I had two cocktails the strawberry negroni and aeroglider were amazing! We split the cabbage caesar, the latke, the ramp pizza, the bucatini, and the arctic char dish. Everything was delicious and the portions were perfect for three people. There was also a DJ spinning funky disco on vinyl throughout the dinner and made for a great atmosphere! Highly recommended for a group of friends and getting a bunch of small dishes! Typical Williamsburg prices but other than that, it was a great experience. A"

I had so much fun with the family at Sungold. The service was amazing and everybody was so friendly. Felt really pampered by the staff and highly enjoyed the wine and food. Especially would recommend the bucatini and the celery root latke.

Delicious food, creative cocktails and really sweet staff. Ambiance was a bit off dining room was mostly empty on a Saturday with a DJ playing very loud music. Around 9 or 10, drunk people started filling the lobby and elevator bank to go to the roof bar.

We had the craziest most stressful journey to New York, and this was one of our first restaurants that we went to for a full dinner experience. The staff is beyond above par extremely good customer service, and very kind and warm energy throughout every single person we encountered. The food is great. View menu

The place has a lot of potential , great location and design but unfortunately the food was so bad that leaves me no choice and give it just 1 star , there was literally nothing tasty , thats a shame. The music is little loud but manageable. I would expect that this place , in this location will be packed but I guess the level of food scares people away.

We were very excited to have dinner here after seeing the ratings. However it took our servers 20 minutes to grab us water and glasses and another 30 minutes to order our food. We were one of 10 tables so we were confused as to where all of the service staff was. Once we got our food, one of the back waits took multiple plates away that we were still finishing, including trying to take the one that my partner was still eating off of. The food was ok, honestly in Williamsburg there’s much better especially for the price and service.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
