"I always read reviews before we try a new place. Usually I use YELP when I am out, because it is an app on my phone. Anyhow, this place does NOT disappoint. The employees were super friendly, the food was healthy and delicious and the atmosphere was adorable. When you are traveling, it isn't always easy to find HEALTHY food, but this place has it. Especially for the kiddos. I LOVED their options for kids and they put the food in muffin tins which made it especially FUN! They were served fresh fruit with their delicious sandwiches. I ordered a combo half sandwich and salad. They were both out of this world amazing. My salad had greens, feta cheese and I believe almonds. Hard to remember now, but I DEF recommend their salads. Their broccoli cheddar soup was to die for! It was the best we've EVER had!!! Great job, Paint Box! We WILL return!!! Thank you for giving travelers a healthy option which is SO needed in this world we live in of mostly fast food!"

"Last year we enjoyed michaels for our New Year's Dinner, so we thought we would do it again this year. we have been looking forward to the great food and the service we had previously received to be very disappointed. our service was bad. I am gluten-free and milk-free and the waitress has not even registered this matter when I told her. they brought krutons on my salate after I had not given any gluten. then she also brought out that dessert and put it before me after I had told her again, no milk or gluten. also other members of our groups steaks and chicken entrees were not properly cooked. the chicken was boiled and the steaks were burned outside while they were cold inside. we sent the steaks back, just to have brought them out, not burned, but still raw in the middle. the manager was angry at guests on our table. overall this was a bad experience. not how we wanted to spend our new years eve. and to round it off, it was a set menu so that everything should have been prepared to perfection."

"When we arrived, we requested to be seated in a far corner to allow for more space from other diners. However, the host denied our request, claiming the other half of the restaurant was closed, leaving us seated too close to two other parties, despite the entire other half being unused. At this point, we were already regretting our choice to dine here; we had hoped Tonka Hills would demonstrate responsible practices. When my grandmother asked our server if she could wear a mask while serving us, the server was taken aback and said that she didn’t have one. It was disheartening to see such a complete lack of awareness about the ongoing pandemic. My grandmother has been a loyal customer for years, but I worry that this experience may deter her from returning after the disrespectful treatment from both the host and our server. Although they maintained a “nice” demeanor, it was clear they dismissed our concerns, even laughing at our reasonable requests considering the circumstances. It feels as though the staff is disconnected from the reality most people are facing right now, which is unfortunate since the food is truly excellent. I'm saddened that I can't support them further until they improve their leadership and responsiveness to these critical health concerns."

"Lake Favorite is a fantastic spot! They’ve been serving up great food for five years now, and it’s always a wonderful experience. It’s easily accessible whether you arrive by land or by water. The pizza is delicious, the music is enjoyable, and the prices are reasonable. It’s entertaining to watch the boaters come and go. It’s also refreshing to see the same servers returning year after year. Overall, it’s a great place to visit!"
