We live in Cedar Creek and enjoy stopping by Sheller's and other restaurants at the Hyatt for dinner occasionally and taking a walk around the property.

Delicious chicken wings and tortilla soup! It gets VERY loud when the restaurant is full, so we decided to move outside to eat. Overall, it's a wonderful spot to unwind at the end of the day.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess to the service, everything fell short, with the exception of the citrus chicken, which was quite good. Given the prices, I expected much better overall quality.

The staff was wonderful! The queen, kids grilled z wings were great...BUT, the brisket sandwich was HORRIBLE! There was a kind of spice that made it spicy, sour and inconspicuous (and I love spicy). Also the buffalo sauce did not taste well (the bartender recommended it on the side). Finally, the Fried Avacado (breading) is tasteless. It was very disappointing. This bar has been renamed Mavericks, and the menu remains largely unchanged. They offer an excellent selection of craft beers from Austin breweries. Although we weren't too hungry, we decided to try the crab meat dip with warm pretzels. While there wasn't a lot of crab in the dip, it was still sufficient for two and absolutely delicious. We were the only patrons sitting outside, and although the service started off a bit slow, we ended up being looked after wonderfully by our server, Joe. The wait didn't bother us at all, as we enjoyed the lovely view of the trees and watched the birds. Inside, however, it was quite loud and lively!

The service was decent, but our waiter was a bit sluggish and unfamiliar with several menu items. The sweet tea was excessively sweet, much different from the typical version you'd find at a fast-food place or a regular restaurant. On the plus side, we received our refills promptly. We ordered the queso, which turned out to be quite disappointing. It arrived immediately after we ordered, and it seemed like a confusing mix of stadium-style queso and Tex-Mex queso. It tasted stale and bitter, as if it had been sitting out for a while. The chips were passable, but not worth the $12 price tag. I hadn't visited this place in several years, but I wanted to treat a friend to a nice, relaxing lunch at Firewheel Café, only to discover that they no longer serve lunch. So, we decided to check out the Barrelhouse Bar instead. I must say right off the bat that the food was outstanding. The brisket sandwich was fantastic, and the fries were some of the best I've ever had. The desserts were enjoyable as well, and the coffee was superb. However, the service left much to be desired. We were seated for about ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and it took another ten minutes for our drinks—iced tea and coffee—to arrive.
