"Shogun Sushi is a small restaurant that you could be completely forgiven for missing as you drive past on an unlit evening. I'd encourage you not to do so. This quiet, clean, unrushed and utterly unpretentious establishment has seemingly one focus, and that is the quality of the sushi they prepare. I enjoyed a spicy tuna roll that was spot on in its subtlety and focus on the flavor of the tuna, something only done at restaurants not motivated to hide their lesser quality ingredients with an overabundance of heat. Likewise the salmon roll with scallop was a subtle and well-integrated dish, made carefully, and presented well. My appetite only permitted me to try the two rolls, but I'm now eager to go back with friends. There are many paths to disappointment and regret whilst attempting sushi in the AV. You may spend just a bit more here, but you will feel better about yourself (and likely just feel better) after you dine here. What a beautiful surprise! Shogun Sushi is not a mirage in the AV, it is real, authentic, fresh and delish! The service is impeccably personal. I visited Shogun Sushi in Palmdale for dinner, and I must say, it's a lovely restaurant. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. It has a more traditional vibe compared to most local sushi spots. In my opinion, it definitely ranks among the best places to dine. The combo I ordered was $20 and also came with soup and salad.

This place is a hidden treasure in the scorching desert. I was truly delighted to discover this restaurant, considering its location, and I'm so glad we decided to give it a shot. I’m really disappointed. This place undoubtedly has the best sushi—if you ever get to eat it. I've been coming here for years, but during my last visit, I had to wait for a table and then ended up waiting an hour without even having our order taken. The owner was sincere in her apologies, but she served and took orders from customers who arrived after us. I’m not sure what happened to the other woman who used to help cook and serve. We were so excited when they reopened after the owner and sushi chef passed away, but the service this time was truly lacking.
