"We had a pleasant evening at this restaurant. The service was good and there were many vegetarian options available. We informed our server that we were both vegan and ordered two dishes from the vegetarian menu, making sure to emphasize our dietary preferences. When the server inquired about the use of oyster sauce, we requested no fish sauce or other ingredients sourced from the sea. It seemed like oyster sauce was a common ingredient in many dishes on the menu. This reminded me of a Chinese restaurant that used chicken stock in all of its "Vegetarian Specials" because it supposedly made them taste better. The pad Thai was tasty, but the supposedly spicy vegetable dish I ordered was quite mild. I requested it to be Thai hot, but it seems like this got lost in translation to the chef. Nonetheless, the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared, but we had chosen Thai cuisine specifically for its bold and spicy flavors."

I was pleasantly surprised to discover a fantastic Thai restaurant in the heart of the Berkshires. I highly recommend trying the drunk noodles and the tofu hearapan.

My wife and I have traveled from Connecticut to Great Barrington and eaten here each time. We consider this our favorite Thai restaurant. Each time we have ordered something different and each time were delighted. The servers are very friendly and areknowledgeable about the food. It is always clean and quiet. We will be back. I was completely impressed by this restaurant! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was cozy and clean. We started with the fried potstickers and chicken satay, then had pad thai and Thai fried rice for our main dishes. We shared the fried cheesecake for dessert, and everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal!

We were passing by and decided to stop at this restaurant to grab something before heading back to our hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken satay and red curry, then took a quick walk around the nearby shops while waiting for my order. When I returned, my food was ready and still hot, and it tasted absolutely delicious. The peanut sauce was just as I had imagined, and the red curry had the perfect level of warmth after a day of hiking in the snow. I would love to explore more dining options in the area, but I will definitely be returning to this restaurant tomorrow. Highly recommend.

"It 's a stretch that I even gave this place a single star.if this mediocre, overpriced joint was located near me (Waterbury, CT) it would not last a week. The large Italian community would drum it out of town post haste.A man seated us in a cubby hole near the rear of the dining room.My wife 's eggplant mushroom soup was a small bowl of puree ' with no substance. Boring. My salad consisted of a pile of greens in a bowl. Nothing else. No tomatoes, no cucumbers, no onions, no radishes, etc. Just greens. Boring and dumb.I noticed that there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table. That seemed odd, since every restaurant I have ever been in, at a minimum, has always had those two items on the table.I always put some salt on my salad, so I asked for them. But I had to wait a good length of time until I saw our waitress come by.We both ordered lemon seltzer drinks that came from a bottling company. I should have ordered something else. The pizza:We ordered a medium-sized pizza, whch would be considered a small-sized pizza where we live. Disappointment #1I like thin crust pizza, but not when it is like a big round cracker. Disappointment #2We had Canadian bacon for a topping. I had never seen Canadian bacon like what was on that pizza. It looked and tasted like thin, deli-sliced ham. Disappointment #3The sauce was bland. The cheese was forgettable. Disappointment #4 and 5.Overall, the pizza was at best, mediocre. Nothing to write home about. I 've had plenty of much tastier (and cheaper) pizzas.Coffee at the close of lunch was OK. No complaints with that. I guess that is what earns my 1 star rating. We did not order dessert. Then came the bill. Here 's where things go from bad to worse. The bill indicated 44 dollars and change.I handed my card to the waitress. She came back with my receipt to sign and quickly left for parts unknown. The receipt indicated 82 dollars and change.I could not see the waitress, but since the man who seated us was in sight, I showed this to him.His cute remark was, "That 's how we make money. "I was not amused. He located the waitress, and they went to the cash register and fixed the mistake. The waitress scurried away.He returned with the corrected receipt. No apology from neither him or the waitress. All other restaurants would have apologized and some would have even take something off the bill for the major monetary mistake.Summary:Will we be returning customers to Baba Louie 's ?Do chickens have lips ?"

"Because they never responded to my email, and people keep suggesting this place every time I visit for the holidays, and I have to say no.... below is my email, to which they have never responded. Oh, and I didn 't even mention in my email the mesh mask that our server was wearing. Might as well not wear one because we get it, you don 't believe in covid. Needless to say, we 've never been back. If you 're racist, be less obvious about it. I am writing to share our experience at your establishment with the hope that it does not happen again to us or anyone else. Before I share our experience, I would like to first acknowledge your staff for braving the current pandemic to provide service and food to patrons. There is a certain level of risk associated with what they do and we would like to thank them because if not for them, we would not have had a night out. I had previously dined at your restaurant with my fiance and we really enjoyed our time there. I did not hesitate to pick Cafe Adam when my sister and I had an opportunity to get together. We dined with you on December 30th and was promptly seated for our 8:15 p.m. reservation. When our server first took our order, we hadn 't decided on drinks yet because our beverages depended on what we were ordering for our meal. However, we were ready to order our food and did so keeping in mind the time your establishment had to close. We ordered one appetizer, two salads, and the bone-in ribeye to share. We let our server know that we needed a couple more minutes to decide on beverages. Our server seemed disappointed in our limited order and did not fail to show her disappointment. While we waited to put in our beverage order, she entered the dining room three times and each time, she serviced the two other tables while ignoring ours. It was only during her third entrance, after she serviced the two other tables, that she came to our table and took our order of two cocktails and a bottle of cabernet. We made sure to remain polite and ordered dessert and another two cocktails by 9:30 p.m. My fiance joined us shortly after to enjoy his cocktail and share dessert with us. It very was clear our server treated us according to her premature judgement, whether warranted or not, of our economic status and ability to pay/tip. We understand that the attitude and conduct of one person isn 't necessarily the reflection of the entire establishment. However, our experience would have been magnitudes better if she was as warm and attentive to us as she were to other guests. The icing on the cake was when my sister found she was overcharged $25 on her bill (see attached screenshot of her CC charge). We had asked our server to put $75 on my sister 's card and the remaining on mine. I covered the tip and made sure my sister 's signed slip remained at $75 (see attached slips your manager Sylvia texted to my sister). As you can see, my sister 's slip clearly stated $0 in tip, with a total of $75. The $36 tip I left was sufficient to cover the entire bill 's recommended 18% tip. Though our server was cold to us for most of our time there, we commend her for her work during this pandemic. We would like to visit your establishment again and hope to have a better experience, especially since we thoroughly enjoyed the food and my fiance kept raving about dessert! I hope that next time my future in-laws ask about our experience at Cafe Adam, I am able to tell them about our all-around positive experience."
