"I absolutely adore this restaurant! From the moment I first stepped foot inside, I felt welcomed with open arms. I loved living in Berthoud and knowing I had a place to go where I was always greeted warmly, and that feeling continues even though I have moved away. I had a fantastic experience working at The Derby for 3 years, as the staff was always friendly, energetic, and hardworking. Although there have been changes in ownership since my time there, my love for the restaurant and the owners Celest and Cory has only deepened. The food is excellent, the staff is wonderful, and it's an all-around great place to dine. Thank you for everything you do for Berthoud!"

"This is the second time I've come here. We have friends that live nearby and we actually requested to come here based on how much we enjoyed it previously. We arrived at the Denver airport and were taken directly here since we had been traveling for hours and were pretty hungry. I left totally satisfied. The food is absolutely delicious, I mean it's pretty much fried food goodness. The root beer comes in a frosty mug and this time I had a float. So good! Last time we also tried the bratwurst and their seasonal sriracha cheese curds. Everything we've had is freshly made. This location has been here for years and the staff are super friendly. The root beer is so good in a frosty mug and as a float was such a treat. This is a super casual place that is consistently good and our friends bring their guests here to enjoy this delicious fast food. This location also has a drive-up area to eat in your car similar to Sonic if you don't even want to get out of your vehicle but you want to eat it there fresh. Fried foods should always been eaten right away, to maximize the fried goodness :D"

"I've been here for two years. an order for the 50min collection. I got there 5min in the morning. it was said a few minutes (which was in order with me early). 15 min walk and told another 5 min after hearing the kerl on the theke try to ask, he can offer me something for the delay and was said no. I finally got my order 20min later and was not even full of it, they offered a refund on the broth sticks they had forgotten, but the best part is the opponent told me they missed my order. the manager did not seem to care that they want to help or want to do something that is missing there. I had to ask for a full refund, just to feel like they even cared for. does not sound like the manager really wanted to help a good customer. not sure if we return after that. at least they have reimbursed."

"I recently dined at Grandpa's with my favorite client, Mark S, who recommended it due to its convenient location. The restaurant boasts a clean, quaint atmosphere, and we were promptly seated by a friendly female staff member. However, our experience took a downturn when our waiter approached our table without a greeting or smile, and seemed indifferent to my inquiries. The food, unfortunately, was lackluster. My order of huevos rancheros was served in an unconventional manner, submerged in a pool of pinto beans with their liquid. While the dish contained the basic components, they were obscured upon arrival, and the taste was nothing noteworthy. Overall, Grandpa's was mediocre service and uninspiring cuisine. But this is the only about one dish. There are others I might try."

"I'm giving this restaurant a three out of five Because they were lacking a little bit in flavor on their dishes. The service was excellent very attentive and quick, the drinks were pretty good except a sangria was ordered and it didn't come with any fruit. It just came poured in a glass. Nothing over the top. We sat outside on the patio because it was a nice day, but we were a little bit harassed by the neighborhood squirrel that was jumping up and down on the tables and kind of made it for a little bit of a nerve racking experience. Not sure how much they can control that but it wasn't my favorite part. Like I said the service was excellent. The food was just okay. It wasn't the best Mexican I've ever had but it's a solid restaurant if you are looking for something close to eat.
