"While visiting the town of Berthoud for a high school event, we happen to go to A&W on the way out of town and had a great first experience. The place is not real big and authentically vintage, but the staff are super friendly and attentive and do a good job keeping the place clean and getting customers served. Some tables have the old style telephone to place your order. Our order came out quickly, accurately and was delicious and the best part was getting fresh made A&W root beer in a cold frosty mug! It even has a vintage drive up and order and eat from your car if you prefer. Parking is limited due to small footprint and being on a corner. We enjoyed it so much that on a recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park we made plans to stop here again on our way back It was another busy Saturday and once again the staff were Rock Stars ! The subtle thing that I noticed on this trip was the food comes out looking just like the pictures on the menu. Seems like a simple concept, but many fast food restaurants underdeliver in this area. It's worth going a little bit out of your way to stop at this A&W and take a step back in time and have a great meal."

The food was served quickly and was quite tasty. The server was friendly and engaging. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the convenience of ordering from the table using a phone was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the jukebox was out of order, which prevented me from giving this place a five-star rating. Overall, the food was delicious and affordable. This is a charming little spot in town.

Rating a fast food place is weird. I mean, we've all probably been to an a&w and thought it was fine before right? This place is different. Every time I visit the food is unbelievably fresh and tastes amazing. I understand the hype around root beer floats now too. I've never had them this good before. Plus the dining room is a time capsule; a mini museum of drive thru history. One has to imagine that this is exactly how grandma remembers it. Highly recommended.
