Simple Fish - Menu

I took my wife here for her birthday lunch. We had great service, the food was delivered quickly. The atmosphere was pleasant and calm. We both ordered poke bowls and the home made sauces were wonderful!Food: 5/5

The Yum Yum roll was absolutely delicious, and the two other rolls we ordered were great as well—though I can't recall their names! The waitress was friendly, and we will definitely be returning. Food rating: 5/5.

This is the best traditional sushi place in Grand Rapids (in my opinion). The fish is extremely fresh and the rolls are wrapped very tight. The flavors are some I haven't had at many sushi places, I travel a lot, always trying new sushi joints. When I'm home and want really great sushi this is my spot. View menu

I recently moved to the area for work and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. The food was undeniably fresh, and although the service took a bit longer than I expected, I still enjoyed my time there. I ordered the poke bowl, gyoza, and a mango bubble tea (not pictured). Plus, parking right outside was really convenient!

I ate here about 5 times, the Poke Bowl is excellent in my opinion! I tried several sushi reels, sashimi and the meerrot tuna appetizers that were all delicious. The bubble tea is made to order, delicious, and not excessively sweet. The staff is friendly and the service is good. I enjoyed my time here very much. I also recommend it to anyone looking for excellent sushi.

This is LEGIT. We go out to eat a decent amount and I didn't think I would find a sushi place I liked better than my previous favorites. The decor is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I’m still finding something I don’t like on the menu (despite that different things have almost every time tried when we visited). If you do not / do not eat sushi, you will not be disappointed with their other options. The chickenteriyaki and fried rice are also incredibly delicious. If you haven't been to Simple Fish, you'll be there!

I simply love Simple Fish. Every kind of sushi that we have tried there has been excellent. Our favorite is the Bulgogi roll. The staff is great. It can get pricey if you 're getting multiple rolls, but well worth it. Their green tea bubble tea is good too. The atmosphere is a bit minimalist, but they have an accent wall with a mural of coy, and it is kind of soothing.Parking: Simple Fish is located in a small strip mall. The parking is a little iffy if they are busy. They have about 3-4 parking spots in front of their doors and some closer to the street behind those.

Simple fish gets a 2 star. Sadly. I really wanted to like it! TL;DR This should be a TAKEOUT ONLY kind of place. DO NOT DINE IN! The food is pretty decent Like 3 4 stars but the service was a horrible 1 star. My husband and I went on a Wednesday night (not a particularly busy night . There was only one guy working the whole restaurant. He had to be host and waiter! And he was not the kind of kid who was ready for a front facing job. He was painfully shy, didn't give us menus or utensils when he sat us, took our drink order after we'd been sitting for 20 minutes and when he did I gave him our full order. It was clear he was overwhelmed and that we probably wouldn't see him again for a while!... View menu
