"I have posted the actual store menu (as of 9/11/22) in attached pictures. Waited for a few weeks since the reopening to return here. 4 employees working. The place was clean, order was taken and properly fulfilled in a timely fashion for a Sunday afternoon. Food received for the price paid was acceptable. The large Whiting basket with 4 Skrimp potato salad was all very good. White cheddar macaroni and cheese was also very good. They have upgraded the tarter sauce from the prior sauce and it is much thicker and very good. Note to the owner. Remove the recommended tip screen that shows up during credit card check out for dine in. Customer walks in and places order. Customers are required to get their own drinks/lids/straws, napkins, and come to the counter to retrieve there order. Drink refill is again the customers responsibility. That means there is nothing to tip for. Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food."

Tremendous value (Hugh portions 7 pieces of whiting on a bun), great taste (old timey cornmeal coated goodnedd) all for $7. Can't wait to try the other types of fish. Exquisite!

Best seafood spot in the area. Very friendly staff and excellent food every time. I don't mind spending my money here and encourage others to come try them as well. SKRIMP SHACK IS GREAT.

The service was amazing, with generous portions of fresh and hot food. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The seating area had a TV, perfect for a relaxing meal. It was my first time here and I ordered takeout. I got the Mahi Fish Tacos and the Whiting Dinner with Fries, both delicious. The staff members I interacted with were very pleasant. I will definitely be back.

Let me start by saying! My My My! I come from a place where all we know is seafood! This place is the true definition of seafood, spices, and a um um good expression! I give credit when it's due and this definitely deserves every bit of 5 stars! If I could give more I would. The staff is very helpful and corrects any issue. First time back to the Skrimp Shack since they opened and was not disappointed. I ordered Carfish nuggets, 8 Shrimp, with a side of potato salad and a large drink. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, not over cooked, great flavor. Even the potato salad cause yall know potato saladcan be a hit or miss at some places. But most importantly the customer service was excellent. There was only 3 people working, 1 being the manager and they were working hard to serve all the customers. They just reopened so be patient when ordering but yes, I will definitely be back! View menu

When I received my food, the server mentioned that they do not offer refunds, which initially confused me until I saw the sign next to the soda machine. The food was fresh and delicious. The collard greens were particularly satisfying, and I even drank the juice. The fried okra bites were surprisingly great despite okra's slimy nature, and the macaroni and cheese made me want to marry it. However, it was the shrimp that truly impressed me. I've dying to try this place out since I moved here in VA. I gotta say, I am not super amazed by it, for what I've paid for. I had the Skrimp basket, which included the shrimp , and the hush puppies . The hush puppies were dry. I was excited about it too. I love hush puppies. That's the first thing I eat , when I go to Alabama. It was such a disappointment. The shrimp tho , was good. It wasn't over cooked and it was seasoned nicely. The other thing I ordered was a crab cake. The good thing about it is, it has real crab in it. Flavor was very umami.
