"I was craving Persian food badly specifically wanting a beef kabab kobideh rice plate. I googled restaurants nearby that I could stop by for dinner. I saw Stone Stew Grill and Bar among the list of restaurants in the area. I 've heard of the place before, and I remember it being recommended by one of my close Persian friends. My fiancé and I arrived at Stone Stew around 8pm on a Saturday night. We were dressed for a casual sitdown, but when we peaked through the window we saw that everyone was dressed to the nines. We reluctantly walked in, but we were warmly welcomed and led to an upstairs dining area. We realized that the bottom floor was reserved for a surprise party, which was wild by the way! We sat back, enjoyed the music (DJ was spinning traditional Persian party music), and watched the bottom floor get lit. Overall customer service was great. The food came out quickly, and our server was great. He was so nice, helpful, and attentive. We ordered a couple of entrees to share. Obviously the beef kabab kobideh with rice was a must. Since we were at Stone Stew, I figured we might as well try the Vakil Abad Mashhad Stone Stew. I heard it also being referred to as Dizi. If you ask me, nothing beats home cooked Persian food, but Stone Stew hit the spot! Everything tasted flavorful and amazing. The kobideh was exactly how I expected it to be, so I was highly satisfied. The Dizi was completely new to me, and we both were pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. We mashed the garbanzo beans, potatoes, and stewed meat, which made for a comforting, rich soup."

The food is delicious, but the prices and service could use some improvement.

Celebrated my friends birthday here. The DJ was great. The food and service were awesome. Also the atmosphere was very nice.Food: 5/5

This was the worst gheymeh I have ever had. Half of the dish was swimming in oil, and the flavor of the dried lemon was overpowering, dominating the entire stew. It was simply terrible.

The place is tucked away behind Applebees, near 280 and Saratoga Ave. It's clean, not too busy and prices are reasonably priced. It is worth a visit whenever you are in the neighborhood and want simple but tasty food. View menu

Nice persian restaurant. The dizi a traditional persian food) is tasty. My favorite is the dizi with sides. They have kebabs, stews, zeresh polo zafran rice) with chicken and more options. Sunday is Salsa night with live music.

I liked it sooo much! The atmosphere is super cozy, service was great and funThe ground beef kabob is the least expensive stale on thr menu and total value, filling and yet you got to order the Tabriz kabob in virgin olive oil , the filet mignon cubes they are scrumptious!I know little about spices but they know what their doubt no doubt for a couple of thousands years. I'm not a heavy food eater but when I need a full meal of choice meat I'm going to go back here. It's a double take restaurant for certain!

Pleasantly surprised by how good their koobideh kabob is. Well seasoned, juicy. They had my favorite variety of hot sauce so I was happy. Rice, grilled tomato were fine, if undistinguished. One kebab is a large enough to make a whole meal. It's a great value at $13.99. Kashke bademjan had a very fried texture. It tasted alright, but so oily, I couldn't eat all of it. The meal came with bread, butter and a sprig of purple basil. It's a huge, cavernous restaurant that seems more like an event hall. The decor is interesting. Iranian banquet hall meets Montana black bear lodge? A large screen tv played the news soundlessly. It was a cold, windy day; the space felt homey, cozy. I dined at an off... View menu

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, particularly with the owner, Nasim, who took our order. My friends and I went there on a Saturday night, and she made some inappropriate remarks about my appearance and weight. When I confronted her about her comments, she tried to defend herself by sharing her own experiences with weight criticism, which was not an appropriate response. In an attempt to make amends, she offered us a free cup of yogurt, which felt utterly ridiculous. Later, we learned from other diners that she had behaved in a similar manner before. I would advise potential customers to be wary of this place due to the owner’s disrespectful attitude. While the food q...

Came here for a quick lunch. Just by Looking at their menu, I had a feeling this would be an authentic tasting and I was not wrong. I ordered 1 skewer Kobieeda (cheapest item) and it tasted very good. Now, it doesn't mean they are the best out there but that was a nice experience, and I yet to try the rest of their offering. They have a big menu for different flavours; with that a higher price tags too. The prices honestly did make me hesitant and I was about to leave before falling on the Kobieeda. Customer service was good for the most part but not wonderful the truth is and was a bit slow. I definitely was hoping for a complimentary tea which is standard in persian restaurants but I was i...
