Hot dogs were delicious. Small beer list with some good choices. Friendly bartender and staff. Fun atmosphere, small interior with small outside eating area. Seems to do big take out business.

First time eating here. My husband got the magi Tacos and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. We were both impressed by what we ordered. The food was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ate outside . All in all, a very pleasant dining experience.

This restaurant is fantastic. It is extremely clean, the staff is very friendly, and you can enjoy a cold beer and a delicious hotdog with all the toppings you desire. I am in love with this place! The burgers were tasty, and the homemade chips were delicious as well. I overcooked the BLT and bacon, but it was still a good sandwich. The wait times were long, but that's probably because they're the only place on the island with such great food. We were disappointed by the other nearby restaurants, but we would definitely come back to eat here again.

Today, we visited Surf Dog during a rare rainstorm in Surf City. Despite being busy because no one could be on the beach, we ordered two burgers - a Chili cheeseburger and a Pimento cheeseburger. Both burgers were fantastic, with great taste and perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and attentive, serving our food quickly despite the busy atmosphere. Great job, Surf Dog!

Burgers were good, the in-house-made chips were tasty too. I got the BLT and the bacon was a little bit burnt but overall a good sandwich. Long wait times but that?s probably because they seem to be the only place on the island with truly good food.Unfortunately we?ve been pretty disappointed with many of the other nearby restaurants. We went to Surf Dog today during a rare rain storm here in Surf City. Needless to say they were crushed because nobody could be ontje beach. We ordered 2 burgers, a chili cheese burger and a pimento cheese burger. They were both outstanding! Great flavorand cooked perfectly. The folks working were super friendly and attentive. We got our food very quickly considering how busythey were. Great Job Surf Dog!

This place was absolutely fantastic. We ordered bacon cheddar fries, a small chicken tender basket with fruit, a double baked potato, and a Hampstead burger without slaw and bbq. Not only did everything come right, but it came hot and tasty. So not only was the food amazing, but the service was AWESOME. Everyone was kind and fast. Special credit to Erin (I hopes that's how it's spelled , she was so funny, nice, kind, and just genuinely outgoing. Every question we had, she answered honestly, and she made the atmosphere feel like a safe space : 10/10 do indeed recommend, definitely will go back!!

Within its classification. Surf Dog is the best on Topsail Island. Husband wife team own and operate the restaurant which has become a favorite for both locals tourists. They have a varied menu from hot dog to steaks, in a casual and friendly service. Their potato chips are home and excellent. I prefer my chips floppy or cooked lightly and during my last visit mychips were cooked a bit more than normal. One of the owners asked if my chips were OK I said they were fine. He knew theywere overcooked and said he was training a new chef so they would be re-cooked. They strive for a high level of customerservice. Good deck for outside dining. View menu
