"Sushi Miyagi is one of my favorite dining spots in Houston. This charming restaurant is run by a Japanese couple who handle everything themselves, which means their operating hours are limited and wait times can be long. However, the exceptional quality of the food makes it worth the wait. Some of my personal favorites include the salmon sushi, escolar sushi, spicy hotate sushi, and tamago sashimi (the best!). I also love the shaggy dog roll and spider roll. Additionally, I’ve enjoyed their chirashi bowl, miso soup, chicken karaage, and pork katsu. My friends rave about the sweetie creamy roll, tofu, salmon roll, yellowtail sushi, udon soup, and curry rice. They serve meals at tables, even if you plan to take your food to go. If you decide to visit, make sure to arrive right when they open, as there’s usually a line outside!"

My favorite place to get Sushi in town. But due to long waits and limited hours I go every few months rather than more frequently. I love the restaurant and love even more its just the one couple that run the place.

The atmosphere is truly cozy, making it an excellent spot to catch up with friends. You might need to be patient with the wait time, but it's definitely worth it for the high-quality sushi you'll enjoy. This place perfectly embodies the charm of a mom-and-pop restaurant. I absolutely love it!

The place was small yet very well equipped, and decorated very traditionally, the flavors of the food and drinks were exquisite and sushi technique demonstrated a high level restaurant. Definitely will return to this side of town. My recommendation: miso soup, cold green tea and a combination of nigiri

Since this restuarant has limited seatings and ran by just the couple, the wait may be long. However, the food was worth to try. The agedashi tofu sauce was light and on point as the bite into the tofu was lightly crunchy and soft. A small miso soup to get the taste buds going. The size of the sushi and rolls were a bit bigger than usual for us. Flavors and freshness were great. The curry rice was delicuously light.

This delightful sushi restaurant is run by a lovely husband and wife team. The portion sizes are generous and the quality of the fish is exceptional. Keep in mind that they have very limited hours, operating from 12 PM to 3 PM, and it’s always bustling with guests. The husband takes care of all the sushi preparation, while the wife manages customer service and other dishes. It's important to be patient with them, as they are working as diligently as possible! On weekends, you can expect a line forming before they open, so plan accordingly. Although there is usually a wait, this little gem is absolutely worth it!
