"This charming, old-fashioned luncheonette feels like a nostalgic throwback to a time when everyone was familiar with one another. Once upon a time, New York had places like this on every block, but now they are as rare as hen's teeth. Where else in the city can I walk in and have the waiter already know my usual order? The standout dishes here are the ones that take a bit of preparation, particularly the breakfast, which features all the classics. And I must say, the sausages here are the best I've had in years. The neighborhood is truly fortunate to have this gem, and each year I find myself worrying that it might close and be replaced by a nail salon, a new pharmacy, or a bar aimed at twenty-somethings."

Cozy spot with great food that also delivers! “Mom’s food” type cooking. Brunch vibes.

Dismal service low quality food. Would never come back here. When I tried to ask if they had a table for 5 the server was very rude made me wait 10 mins before he even answered. Truly the worst View menu

As Hungarian tourists, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were immediately charmed. It's a classic American diner with a warm and attentive elderly staff, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The food was delightful, and the coffee was excellent too. I couldn't have asked for more, especially with around 60 different dishes to choose from!

Sutton Cafe is a no frills small diner which seems to host an older crowd of regulars. On a Sunday during brunch time we saw mostly tables of 1 to 2 but there were a couple tables of 4 too. It's a smallish menu for a diner but has all the staples (aside from matzo ball soup). While on the smaller side, we were able to fit a high chair for our table of 3 and our server was friendly and service quick for our toddler.

It may look like your average neighborhood diner, but Sutton Café is anything but.The décor reminds me of the classic old diners you see in movies. The place gets filled with regulars at lunchtime and the staff was friendly.I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs. My eggs were a perfect overeasy and the home fires were extra crispy just how I like them. This is a great regular spot for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and a scone. View menu

I’ve been a casual customer for quite some time, and I really appreciate the owner and the staff. However, I do have one annoyance: they tend to give you a flat total for the bill without any detailed breakdown. Often, these totals are a dollar or two higher than what’s listed on the menu. While some might enjoy this laid-back approach, I believe it would be more beneficial for both customers and the restaurant’s reputation if they provided itemized bills like many of their competitors. Although I’m not overly concerned about the cost and I suspect many people in the area feel the same, clear billing would enhance the overall experience.

This restaurant has the potential to improve significantly. It has the atmosphere of a local gathering spot for seniors, but the vibe seems a bit resigned. The omelette I tried was decent, but everything else was overcooked and quite salty. I ordered a Chicken Salad Melt to go, and it turned out to be a very basic chicken salad placed on two slices of toast with a slice of cheese on top. I really believe they should streamline their menu and concentrate on perfecting a few key items. I feel bad saying this, as it appears to be a long-standing establishment in the community, but some changes are definitely needed if they want to stay in business.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
