"In town for the weekend, and I get handed a gift card for this place. Within walking distance of where I was staying on State Street, I sauntered down for takeout. Bright, open trendy Mexican fusion, with standards and several chef specials. We just stuck to the basics, burritos and tacos. It being a Saturday night, it was busy, but not packed. Our food took 30min, and I'm not sure why. The carnitas chimichangas was stuffed with shredded pork, but it was slightly dry like it had been premade, not fresh. The beef tacos were cooked freshly, which was supposedly why our order took so long, but should not have caused a huge delay. I would think this place would be able to push a lot of food out for lunches, but they seemed overwhelmed tonight. The food is good enough to warrant a return, but don't expect this to be a quick stop."

I ordered through UberEats, and the food was both delicious and fresh. The guacamole was incredible!

mexican food... so delicious. Loved this place from the first taste. Next time I'll be back with my friends. Prices that won't break you. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved. View menu

The food was quite good, and I enjoyed a variety of tacos. They were served one after the other, about five minutes apart. However, three out of the five salsas were missing from the salsa bar. Overall, I would recommend it. Food Rating: 4/5.

I was really pleased with the variety of tacos we ordered. The spicy shrimp and Korean beef tacos were definitely the highlights. Their queso was simple but delicious. I would recommend skipping the refried beans and rice and enjoying more tacos instead!

I love Taco Maya, we have ordered from here at least 10 to 15 times since moving here in March. The food is always delicious. We love the taco salad and the habanero salsa. Tonight was my first time coming across something that we didn’t like, the guacamole. Most likely just an off night. View menu

After some deliberation, I decided on one Yucatan taco and one shrimp taco, along with sides of refried beans and rice. The staff member who helped me recommended upgrading to a combo plate, which I really appreciated as it saved me some money! They also included chips and salsa as an appetizer, which was a nice touch, so I made sure to save room for the main course. When my food arrived, everything was hot and looked delicious. Though the tacos appeared smaller than expected, they were generously filled with tasty ingredients perfectly balanced in flavor. The shrimp was slightly on the salty side, but that was my only complaint. Overall, this was an excellent choice for a quick and flavorf...

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
