"Can’t beat it for the price alone. My friend and I each had hibachi, then 2 glasses of wine and 3 beers and the total was right under $100!THAT being said, the environment and ambiance was…not great. Felt cheap, crowded, and dingy. 9 packed hibachi tables in one closed off room makes for a very warm environment, also. Quality of the food was mid. Expected more for the Towne Lake location, honestly…but over all was fine enough."

Everything from the appetizers to the entree to dessert was simply amazing. Overlooking the lake on a Sunday eve topped it off!

Our server was Sandy! Totally on the ball and very attentive! We had a family of eight for hibachi and was not disappointed. Eduardo the hibachi chef really cater to the children. Most enjoyable! We will be back.

Really enjoyed the whole experience here. We went at lunch time on the weekend and there was no wait. The food was delicious and atmosphere was nice. The steak hibachi as well as the chicken hibachi are both good.Food: 5/5

Taisho is a wonderful little restaurant. Our waiter was quite friendly, respectful, and punctual. The sushi was the best shaggy dog roll I have had in many moons. If you are searching for affordable, delicious sushi, and friendly, prompt service, I would recommend nowhere else.

They automatically charge 18% tip for party of 5+, so be careful that part, you may get tip-doubled.The food is okay but way toooo pricey. Ordered combination of steak and salmon, the medium steak got well done and only few bite size pieces for an order, kind of disappointed for that. The full hibachi order 85% is rice. View menu

Met one of my friends here for lunch today. It's located in Towne lake next door to Sam's boat in the lake. We ate out in the patio as the weather was great today. We both had sushi. I had the California roll, shrimp roll and Shaggy dog. And service was excellent. I love the view of the lake from the patio, very peaceful and calming. I will definitely return for future lunches.

Service was slow. After sitting for almost 10 min, we were finally asked if we had been helped. After our dishes which arrived in a a staggering fashion, were finally able to check out after hunting down the waitress. My wife and I have had stomach issues that night and the next day. When I say stomach issues that is putting it mildly with out being too descriptive. You have been warned. Do not go eat here.

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
