"Great little local Japanese eatery for your fix of rice bowls and ramen. Everything is prepared fresh, rice hot, ramen firm, broth flavorful and overall very clean. Did I mention pricing for Forest Hills is very reasonable. Restaurant is very cozy and clean. Two points holding back from a 5?? is I felt from time sitting down everything felt rushed even though it?s Monday afternoon 5pm and establishment was more than 2/3 empty. We were handed menus and no more than 10seconds later asked if we?re ready to order and all through the meal their servers repeatedly came and asked if we?re finished, even though clearly we?re still eating. Mind you this is no more than 15 minutes from time we were servedentrees. Why put pressure on your patrons when not busy I?ll never understand. The other negativity is charging additional 8% for credit card. YES you heard right?.8% as opposed to standard 3-4% these day, basically forcing your customersto pay cash. Overall good food and remember to bring cash to avoid being hit with exorbitant credit card fee."

I tried this restaurant for the first time and it was very satisfying. The customer service was excellent. The soup was piping hot when it arrived at our table. We arrived around 8pm and did not have to wait at all. The dress code was casual and street parking was a bit challenging.

First of all I must say that I had such a pleasant experience at Tamashii Ramen. The waitress was very friendly and visited my table frequently to check and see if everything was alright. The food service was quick, prepared to my satisfaction and absolutely delicious. I was seated quickly and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. I shall definitely be returning for another meal!

I had the Tamashii Ramen for $12.95 and I have to say the broth was disappointing, as it reminded me of a plain chicken soup my mom would make (which I'm not a huge fan of). The cha shu was decent, with a good char but lacking in flavor, and the lean to fat ratio was off. The noodles were decent but didn't absorb the broth well. The marinated egg was good but could have used more flavor. The karaage was dry and tasted like frozen popcorn, definitely avoid this dish. The pork buns had a nice smoky flavor but the meat was too lean and the sauce was overly sweet.
