Tane Vegan Izakaya - Menu

Really pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was. Such care put into the presentation as well. We went twice during our week stay here.

Everything we ordered was pretty good, esp the shizen shiitake and the wedge roll. Price makes sense for Hawaii and the restaurant’s atmosphere. Service was great too.

the sushi.. oh my gosh.. it has to be the best sushi i’ve had in my life !! i only took points off as the tempura was perhaps a bit under salted, and i wish they had more dessert options. View menu

This is the original Tane, and it lives up to its reputation! If you’ve been to the Berkeley Tane, you’ll find it has a very similar menu with the exception of a couple of local dishes. The Pokai roll was quite good.

Not a sushi fan prior, been vegan for 25 years. But this place…., changed my mind. Fresh, expertly prepared, beautifully presented in a flash and absolutely delicious. As a designer, really nice job on interior in this little neighborhood spot.

Sushi has never been my favorite, mostly because I’m bored of getting an avocado roll or any of the few other classic options for vegans. This place completely solves that problem with a ton of beautiful, complicated, and DELCIOUS, options. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

I agree that the sushi is the star here. Ordered the wedge and Pacifica specialty rolls, garlic miso ramen, edamame, and gyozas. The wedge roll was the best thing, in my option. Next I would say the ramen. All in all, definitely a nice sushi spot. My next visit I will focus on the sushi. I would recommend to make a reservation as well if you want a table and are opposed to bar seating.

I ordered takeaway right as the doors opened. The hostess was so nice and my order was completed incredibly quickly. I had the Shizen Shittake mushrooms, Pokai roll, and Kailua roll. The rolls were fantastic but the mushrooms? WHAT?! I wish I would have ordered more! I couldn’t stop audibly “mmmm”ing after ever bite! I had never had a tofu stuffed mushroom but I am for sure going to try and make them at home, now! The rolls were super fresh, flavorful, and absolutely beautiful. The sauces was delish! While they were both delicious, if I had to choose, I think I like the Pokai the best. Definitely don’t skip out on this restaurant. I can only imagine everything on the menu is just as tasty!
