"We have been regular patrons of the Brew Pub in Avalon, but the food quality during our recent visit was disappointingly poor. It seems that the kitchen staff struggles to handle the dinner rush during peak season. We have decided to only dine there during the off season when the service is more consistent. The saving grace of our meal was the excellent service provided by our server, who took great care of us. The wait staff was fantastic, but unfortunately the kitchen fell short on this particular night."

I was looking for a good bit casual place to eat in the off season (a Tuesday in Jan) and found it at the Avalon Brew Pub.

The only letdown was the entree we ordered. The two appetizers, calamari and burrata, were delicious. The pizza and mahi mahi tacos were also fantastic. Unfortunately, the shrimp and grits entree was bland and lacking in flavor.
