"I discovered this restaurant on Eater, where it was named the best place in the Denver metro area for savory pies. Intrigued, I finally decided to stop by and purchase a variety of pies. I ended up buying several breakfast and meat pies, with the standout ones being the sausage roll and the New Zealand meat green chili breakfast pie. All of the pies were easy to heat up at home and came out incredibly flaky and delicious. They also offer a rewards program for frequent customers. In addition to takeout, they have a small dining area where you can enjoy some sweet New Zealand ice cream. I definitely plan on returning to try their sweet pies and stock up on more of their savory options for my freezer."

Popped in today for a quick coffee. Amazing service! Great employees! I've had nearly every pie in there. Ace's across the board. Can not recommend enough. Top 5 favorite places in Colorado

Seems new property? Pieces are quite rich and heavy. Delicious in small quantities. Make sure they can not provide you with nutritional information, although (not even calories) and you can not get it, but water here.

Although on the expensive side, the food at this restaurant is definitely worth it. The crust is crispy, the meat is juicy and tender, and their spiced apple cider is perfect for chilly days. I highly recommend giving them a try.

We have tried both savory and fruit pies from this place and you will not find a better crust anywhere. I have spent a lot of years working overseas, including “down under”, and this shop is hands-down the best pies we have ever eaten. Worth checking out! View menu

These are really good meatcakes. After having both in Australia and New Zealand, they are about as close to those I found, at least without going to the few other shops I know. Their brekky cakes are also quite delicious and their fruit cakes are always a treat. I love the case when the peach throws the peach out!

There are a few ingredients in the pies that aren't listed on the online menu including tomato in the ground beef pie and potato in the steak and ale pie. Just something to be aware of in case you have a food allergy to one of these items.I have only ever had their food delivered, but it is always hot and delicious. I look forward to visiting them in person!

Come for the cakes, stay for the ice and milkshakes!! I am a great fan of these authentic NZ-style cakes, so natural when I discovered that they also creamy NZ-style ice cream, I have just lost my mind. My favourite taste is the Hokey Pokey with the Honeycomb Happy Dust! If you love ice cream as much as I do, this place must be at the top of your list! I scream, you scream, we all scream for Tip Top Ice Cream!!! View menu

My daughter and I were walking by the little pie shop, and the heavenly scent drew me inside! A woman at the counter was ordering a stash of frozen pies to keep in her freezer. I had intended to buy just one fruit pie to take home to my husband, but the conversation with the woman at the counter convinced me to try the New Zealand Ground Beef and the Chicken Pie. Both were absolutely delicious! My chicken pie had huge chunks of tender white meat chicken and potatoes and vegetables. My husband raved about his ground beef pie, and of course, his blueberry pie! Can't wait to go back and keep some for the freezer!

Unique is used too frequently, but it applies to Tip Top, a place i have loved since its inception. Hungry before the Lafayette Summer Friday Night Festival, we craved Tip Top and glad that we did. Their pot pie-like options are terrific, and my first try at New Zealand Beef was a great one. Service is always good, and the product is perfectly cooked and served at the right temp. Imagine elite pot pies, with a lot of fun options. But their interior redesign takes them to another level, as they have added a dozen or so seats on the perimeter, along with their outside tented section immediately north of their business. Super good elevated to superb.

"Food wasn't half bad. But this place needs to hire a front desk person to handle the people coming in and being confused about the rooftop seating. The bartender was less than optimal, rude, and just not pleasant. Very flippant about customer service, the owners would do well by getting rid of her as she'll drive business away. Myself and my friend will never go back because that's how bad she was. Rude to other customers as well and poured horrible drinks. At least have a bartender that knows how to make a drink, especially your signature drinks. Too bad, heard good things about this place but the experience sucked. Went to another bar down the street after and had a great time, great bartender, she would do well to learn from people in her trade in how to keep customers coming back!EDIT REPLY TO OWNER: Hey Ryan, no need to call you, but I do appreciate your response. Isn't it a shocker that none of your employees recall any bad service? Of course, not like they would own up to making your establishment look bad. Most of the bad reviews are reflective of your bar service, so obviously you have bartender issues there. Trust me, this is probably the 3rd review I've ever written, I hate giving bad reviews, but your bartender older woman really just needs to go. In most establishments the bar is the best place to be, best service and is reflective of the establishment. I think you have a great place there and most people seem to be satisfied. But again, your bad reviews are probably reflective of that bartender. Keep her at your own peril, but she isn't representing you or doing you any favors. Likely many more people had to deal with her rotten attitude but aren't saying anything they probably just won't come back like my friend and I . Good service is usually rewarded but bad service needs to be called out. Good luck!"
