"Authentic Mexican cuisine awaits you here! From the moment you step inside, Rudolfo and his staff make you feel right at home. He takes the time to greet each guest personally, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The food is fantastic, and the service is top-notch, whether you're seated on the patio or indoors. I particularly enjoy the Barbacoa Wet Burrito, but everything on the menu is delicious. Even though I live in Whittier, it's definitely worth the drive. Plus, you can take a stroll on the pier, which is just two blocks away!"

"My family is from Spain. Some of the best meals I’ve enjoyed were in my cousin’s kitchen in Santiago de Compostela. I’m super picky with my Spanish food. With that being said, Gabi James is pretty authentic. The jamon wrapped dates were on point. Loved the croquettes with chorizo. Better than any I’ve had in Spain. Pan con tomate is one of my faves and this one was pretty good with the manchego cheese on top. Spanish Tortilla is literally one of my favorite foods and no one does it better than my dad. This is the one dish Gabi James can work on. It’s just not quite right. I can’t quite figure out why it doesn’t work for me. Too creamy? Doesn’t work with shredded potatoes? Their version is great though and I’m probably just being overly picky since it’s a dish I grew up on. The garlic shrimp was my favorite. Too die for! Based on the description of the churros, I expected them to be all wrong, but oh my gosh, they were perfect. Just like the churros in Madrid at Chocolateria San Gines. We only ordered from the tapas menu and next time I want to try an entree or the Paella. So happy to have a Spanish place so close to home and can’t wait for my next amazing meal."

"My experience on this website was extremely unpleasant. Using open table I booked what I thought was a reservation. Upon arrival to the location, I am informed that not only is this restaurant/ location not affiliated to the opentable website; but wait time would be approximately 1 hour. Despite having received an email from open table confirming a “reservation”, BJ’s Restaurant at the Del Amo Fashion Center refused to validate booking and seat our party. Management at this establishment, at the time of expected service “Chris” confirmed booking through the website was only a “quote” of the expected time of service. I was assured nothing could be done since the restaurant was full low staffed. It’s important to note that I have dined at this location on several occasions, and was not nearly as busy compared to past visits. We were encouraged to wait, our party was seated within 15 minutes. Please note my review is based on booking through this website, and the miscommunication between open table corporate BJ’s Restaurants and managing staff. Our waitress was lovely, and the restaurant accommodated to our party as they could. I want to believe that BJ’s is no longer affiliated to open table, and if this is the case please REMOVE THE RESERVATION OPTION. It’s extremely disappointing to use this service only to be let down."

"We had some delicious sushi and found some fun company who were regulars. They introduced us to fried spanish mackerel heads. Delicious! And fresh sea urchin right from the pier also delicious! We also had some chilled sake that we have never had before....More"

"Went here with another couple for their wine dinner. Although the food was good, I felt the event fell short on a few areas given the price. 1) We had to fight for their attention to bring canapés to the table on several attempts we finally got a few.Suggestion: next time just put a selection on each table. 2) A lot of the courses arrived at table lukewarm at best. 3)Chocolate covered cornflake clusters!? Pretty lame finish for this caliber of a meal 4) Really Really need to fix the acousticsin this place! We barely could hear ourselves speak. Overall we felt the wines were the star of this event. If not for thatfact, we would have given it a 3 star"
