"After reading all the reviews and the owner stating it is the most authentic New York Pizza in the region I didn't hesitate to give them a try. I ignored the photo of the less then appetizing pizza they have on Doordash. In some cases they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Tonight I should have let the picture lead me in another direction. Maybe it was an off night? Off of what I'm not sure. I'm an authentic NY raised Italian girl and when someone says authentic NY pizza I get so excited. I love anything that reminds me of home but pizza brings it home. There are quite a few pizza joints who dub themselves authentic and the few I've tried only one hit the jackpot. Oh Mama Mia. Finally. I'm a sauce snob and when I took that first bite the sauce had a very subtle sweetness, seasoned just enough and that was pretty much it. It was a simple sauce with a flavor that screamed authentic. I have to stop saying authentic. I'm just going to use it one more time. The pizza we ate tonight was nowhere near authentic. The sauce. I dipped my finger in 3 times to try and see what I could taste. Tomato sauce. If the sauce was seasoned I just couldn't find it. My husband did say he could taste garlic so there's that. Other than that the only other sauce issue was the lack of sauce they put on our pizza. The crust (edge) is what did it for me. It also told me they know how to make a good crust. Not tonight though. Off night? Oh right I have to mention the spinach pinwheel. Fresh spinach, mozzarella, garlic, and herbs rolled up in pizza dough and baked to perfection. Served with a side of Brother's signature marinara sauce. Sounds good huh? Baked to perfection? It was so over baked that all I could taste was the spinach. It was hard enough that if I threw it at my husband there'd have been a very slight chance of a very minor concussion. I do hope it was an off night as far as flavor goes. Length of cooking was off too. Vinni I do apologize but I would not claim your pizza as authentic. I truly did everything I learned to do and I just couldn't find it. I'm still hanging on to an off night. I don't like doing theses kinds of reviews but I do them because I'm a foodie, I'm honest and I'm not afraid of the backlash I always seem to get. Please remember that what I have written is my opinion and is not meant to change anyone's mind about visiting Vinni's."

Seriously the BEST pizza we have had in a long time! The owner was very kind and attentive. Would 100% recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!

Food was delicious! Service was slow and we were literally the only patrons in the restaurant. Would still return though cause honestly the food was very good.

Decent pizza but not something I'll go out of my way for. Toppings were on the lighter side, reasonable but expected more for $2 each. Kind of pricey for what you get.

If you love pizza you love Vinnys because he's an artist he knows how to cook the perfect pie and if you want the perfect pie you gotta try Vinnys because there's nobody else who cooks in Collin county. View menu

They have ended pizza. The wood fired oven is useless. We loved the pizza! Sadness The pasta is still great. The service is still very mixed depending on when you dine and who the server is. But without pizza...we will never be back.

Real authentic NY style pizza. I'm a real New Yorker from Brooklyn this is the closest original NY pizza I have found in the area. They're even playing Sinatra to make even more NYC! Great staff. Clean environment with a good selection of pizza Pastas! Highly recommended!!!

I used to eat here 1-2 times per week but I can't keep going back. They play Fox News and I can't think of anything less appetizing than watching Fox News while eating my calzone or pizza. It's a shame the pie was decent but I'll be going to Mio Nonno or NY Pizza down the street. View menu

We had a late dinner (nearly 9:00) on a Friday night; the dining room was full and the staff appeared worn-out from a busy night. While we were immediately seated it took some time before our server arrived and offered us menus. The menu offers all the basics plus some nice specialties; good wine selection. Service was very slow; our server spent a good amount of time chatting with the bartender in the corner. We clearly caught them at a bad time; will visit again with the hope of a better experience. NOTE: this is a small venue; it gets VERY LOUD when fully occupied.

My son and I were hanging out and I decided i needed to get us a bite to eat. We pulled into the parking lot and I didn 't even see Vinni 's, I was eyeing another place. My son insisted we try this place out, saying he wants to try a Calzone. I love that my son has an opinion and of course told my son yes we can eat here... but I really wasn 't in the mood for Italian food. We walk in and a quiet gentleman takes our order, he was nice and appeared to be the only one there. I ordered the Calzone and my son changed up and ordered a kids Spaghetti and Meatballs. This is amusing because the reason we went here was for the Calzone, but he said "I want Spaghetti, I 'll just try some of your Calzon...

"On our last night visiting our kids (we live in Michigan-they live in Texas), we chose lazy dog. There was no waiting, we were seated right away. I was truly impressed with the interior decor. The birch looking trees by the concierge lent an air of nature. The metal dog sculptures were pretty awesome. I loved the beams in the high ceiling, very cool and I am inspired to create something similar in my own home. The fireplace wall was awesome, huge and the deer head mounted on it was unique and fitting. The restaurant was clean and spacious, easy to see from the road. Our waitress was Margaret and she was very friendly, knowledgeable seemed happy to be there. She brought our drinks right away. My son enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut. He raved about how good it was. The rest of us were slightly disappointed. IMO, the lazy dog takes the usual menu offerings but puts their on twist on it. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just didn’t meet our expectations. The queso was orange cheese with a different flavor-not bad, but not what we were expecting either. My daughter got the fried chicken meal. The seasoning in the breading was, different, unusual. Four of us tried it, the only one that really enjoyed it was my son. I got the pot roast beef dip. That was good and tasty. Both I and my daughter enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings didn’t have much taste and I found them unremarkable. Hubbs got the cheeseburger which he liked and my acquired daughter got the all American burger which she liked. The portions of food were generous, but I felt the prices were high. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but it is not going on my “must return” or favorite lists."
