"The food here is fantastic, but I recommend getting it to go rather than dining in. Our waitress forgot two tables' salads, and by the time we were ready to check out, we still hadn't received them. My meal also came without the garlic bread it was supposed to include. The waitress kept mentioning how busy and overwhelmed they were, yet there were only four tables being handled by two waitresses. The kitchen might have been short-staffed, as we had to wait quite a while for our pasta. When I brought up the missing garlic bread, the manager—or whoever she was—responded rudely, saying, "Well, everything is made fresh, not from a microwave." The staff came off as snappy and forgetful, and clearly, they need more training. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last due to the poor customer service."

"Downtown Findlay has a charming atmosphere, and we found parking easily within a short walk to the tavern. We were welcomed immediately and seated within minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Choosing between the pretzel and the Irish nachos was tough, but we ultimately went for the pretzel. I’ve seen large pretzels at many restaurants, but this one surpassed them all. It was light and airy inside, perfectly cooked, and had a fantastic taste. The accompanying cheese sauce was delicious. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage dinner, which was excellent, but the chicken stole the show. It was absolutely exceptional! The green beans and mashed potatoes were also impressive. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back."

"The Findlay waffle house is a joke! Every time we go there for dinner they say we can’t dine in, and the cooks are getting rough. Not to worry though, Denny’s is located across the street they have a great staff. The food is fast and fresh! It’s a really nice location, All the window seats are kind of chilly when it’s cold out. Are used to really be a fan of the waffle house but Denny’s is way better all around."

"My husband and I went this past Saturday for the first time and we had a wonderful experience! The ambience was romantic, the food was AMAZING, we've never had food like that before! He had the pecan chicken with Cesar salad (the best we'd ever tasted) and I had the alforno with a Bistro salad (I can't even describe how good and unique it was). We shared the short rib pizza, which was delicious and well worth the extra 5 minutes it took to cook because of the crust. For dessert we had the peanut butter crunch cheesecake and it was heavenly- we'd never had a cheesecake so light and fluffy! You can tell everything is made from scratch in-house. Now the BEST part of the whole experience was our server, Amber. She was professional and so friendly. For it being our first time, we didn't know what to expect and she explained everything so nicely. My husband and I agreed that the atmosphere and food could have been everything that they were, but if our server wasn't on par, then the evening wouldn't have been near as enjoyable. She really made our experience the best possible and I would ask for her again. Definitely a new favorite for us, we will be back for another special date soon!"

"The Fern is a staple in Findlay. I was looking forward to a new experience. The atmosphere is nice. It had the feeling of your favorite local bar with grub as an added bonus. Service was solid. We ordered and had our meals in less than 10 minutes. My husband and I both got meatloaf sandwiches. We added baked beans and fries as a side. Unfortunately, the only thing hot was the fries. Everything else was less than lukewarm, not cold, but certainly not warm. It's hard to say if the meatloaf, which is a specialty there, is good because it was hard to enjoy when I couldn't get past the not being warm. And maybe we had to ask ti have it warmed up? I don't know. I don't mind a cold meatloaf sandwich if it's a next day leftover lunch, but at a restaurant I prefer it hot. It's the little things that bring people back."
