"While the service wasn't terrible, it was lacking overall. The food was just average and felt overpriced, especially the small salads priced between $16 and $18. The bacon appetizers were hard, greasy, and lacking in meat for the price. I ordered a pink drink with vodka, but I was charged $10 for it with an additional $2 fee—previously, it had been $6 with the $2 alcohol add-on. The atmosphere was also off; the music was too loud, and the air conditioning was uncomfortable, especially given the cool, rainy weather outside. The waitress seemed indifferent, which added to our disappointment. This experience has made me reconsider my feelings about your restaurant, which used to be my favorite but now leaves me uncertain about returning. It's disheartening to say this, especially since I've recommended it to many friends, spent a significant amount at your Round Rock location, and even purchased several candles. I'm just one disappointed customer."

We really enjoyed our meal at Whiskey Cake. Parking is a bit tricky on a busy Saturday night but they sat us at our exact reservation time, recommended great options from the menu, and delivered our food promptly. It’s a bit dark and a bit loud, so consider that, but we’re looking forward to going back and trying other things.

My family and I visited for brunch, and while the food was decent, it didn't quite meet our expectations. Unfortunately, there was no apple juice available for my little one, so we had to opt for cranberry juice, which he completely ignored. My husband ended up ordering orange juice, but it was clearly from a carton (believe me, you can taste the difference). On a positive note, the ambiance was charming and the decor was appealing. We’re willing to give this place another shot, as we believe in second chances.
