This place is so yummy! Our waitress was very friendly and overall sweet. The food is delicious. We will definitely be visiting here regularly.

Wow! Best BBQ I?ve had in Jax, can?t wait to get back and try more! Fabulous ribs and brisket, sides are not your typical slaw and beans?awesome flavors and portions. Staff is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is lively and comfortable. Outside seating is available too!

Looking for the best BBQ in Jax? Woodpeckers may VERY well be the place to find it. Absolutely delicious meats (especially the sausage), and classic sides will keep your attention so long as the staff isn't around to crack you up. This is true down home southern BBQ that is guaranteed to satisfy. DO NOT sleep on this place.

Favorite local BBQ! Under a bunch of old live oaks. I love this place. Good food, always hot and always delicious. Eat in or eat out. Best sweet tea ever. All meats are always delicate, love the green beans, collar, Mac and cheese, beans and Slav. We had brisket, turkey, sausage, date sausage and so on. Just so good! Everyone is so friendly that works there. There, guys, but and move. Lots of parking. I love our local BBQ.

My party of six enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, but make sure to arrive early if you're interested in dessert. I have never been big into BBQ but Woodpeckers absolutely changed my mind. The brisket was a DREAM, the sauces were delicious and the ambiance was delightful. Usually when I think of a BBQ place, I anticipate sticky and messy but this place (though low key) is pristine! The service is so incredibly welcoming and kind and again the food is phenomenal. The only problem with this place is that they?ve set my standards way too high. Can?t wait to come back!

The Gator ventured away from the coast today to try the delicious barbecue at Woodpeckers Backyard BBQ in the countryside. This wasn't our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. Mrs. Gator had ribs, sausage, mac and cheese, and coleslaw while I opted for ribs, baked beans, and coleslaw. Both meals came with ample buttery Texas toast and we both enjoyed sweet tea. If you're a fan of BBQ, this place is a must-visit. Despite the 140-mile round trip, it's always worth it for us.

We wound up going right when they opened at 11am so we could dine in and not have to wait in line. This place can get packed so plan accordingly!
