"This bakery has an option to order online. I thought it was great and it got so many recommendations. A week after ordering donuts for an event I still haven’t gotten as much as a confirmation of shipping email so I called them. I was put on hold for 15 minutes as they were “trying to track down the person who deals with online orders”, and when I finally got that person on the phone he said that the driver got confused on the way to my house two days ago, and it was refunded. My house is very accessible and I got no refund from them. Only after having words with them did I finally get a refund, but was left to get the donuts god knows where on the eve of my party. I would give them zero stars if I could. Shameful customer service and bad attitude."

Just in case you don't know, as I didn't: Chantilly is a huge-volume bakery. Your baked goods are likely to have been frozen, not made fresh to order. As long as you expect that, you won't be disappointed. And you can count on quite impressive customer service for an operation of their size.

Ordered a cake for our wedding. 3 layers red velvet with flowers. It looked lumpy, crooked, which is not what you want it to look like on wedding photos. The flowers looked like they were made by an amateur baker. The cake also arrived late for the wedding. Oh, it also tasted horrible. Not what you expect when you drop hundreds of dollars on a cake. Save your money and shop elsewhere. View menu

I recently ordered from Chantilly without any recommendations and was pleasantly surprised. We had a Shabbat dinner and celebrated my mother-in-law's 91st birthday. Everything I ordered was perfect - the sweets were tasty, the cannoli delicious, the challah amazing, the bourekas flavorful, and the dinner challah rolls were a big hit. Thank you, World of Chantilly, for a wonderful meal.

I am not one to leave reviews, but this place is the crème de la crème of desserts! My husband and I discovered the World of Chantilly when looking for a wedding cake and have since fallen in love! Their Parve Tiramisu is to die for and it is my husbands request every year on his birthday! Super helpful that they offer free delivery to Mill Basin and we have never been disappointed. Don't think twice, I literally order it for every gathering. It is a MUST!!!

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
