"The food here is truly excellent—homestyle and delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We thought we had found our new favorite local spot, but our last two visits were disappointing. We were charged $27 for 2 burritos, 2 cokes, and some day-old donuts. It seems that managing the cash register requires more attention. We felt too embarrassed to mention that we were overcharged by $7. Despite this, we still tipped generously because of our upbringing, but I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon due to the experience. Additionally, and I say this with respect, the cleanliness of the place could use significant improvement, and better handwashing practices are definitely needed. The food really was delicious, though—it's a shame."

What a delightful gem we found on our way home to Colorado! I ordered the brisket sandwich on Texas toast, and it was incredibly tender, juicy, and delicious! Everything was fresh and served quickly. The couple who runs the restaurant were so friendly!

The brisket-a-la-Mexicana burritos are perfectly seasoned and with plenty of meat. Their doughnuts are light tasting but perfectly sweet. Definitely not overbearing, but magically delicious. The service is to live for and look forward to visiting again and again.

This place is dirty, the waitress has dirty fingernails and the service is slow. The waitress gave me a bacon burger instead of a grilled cheese with bacon and the waitress was 45 minutes! I was so hungry that I attempted to eat the burger, but unfortunately I couldn’t because it tasted moldy! I told the waitress and cook and was told it was all fresh. I paid and left hungry. I ended up eating at Starbucks later.

We absolutely adore this place! It’s definitely a hidden gem! We always make a point to stop here on our way to Ruidoso from El Paso and back. My wife always orders the red chili cheese enchilada with wobble, and her brisket is fantastic. Helen is a wonderful host who greets everyone with a warm smile! This restaurant truly embodies the essence of delicious food in Tularosa. Yum Yums is the perfect nearby spot for some good old-fashioned comfort food. We can’t recommend it enough!
