"I had a frustrating experience at the drive-thru of a restaurant in Hartwell, Georgia. I waited for twenty minutes without any movement and ultimately left without ordering anything. When I called to place an order, I was informed there would be a 30-minute wait. After waiting 40 minutes at home, I decided to return to the restaurant, only to wait another 30 minutes before receiving my order. The staff member who served me had an unpleasant attitude. I noticed two DoorDash drivers also waiting for their orders, yet it seemed like no food was being prepared for either takeout or drive-thru customers. The staff appeared more interested in chatting and socializing than efficiently fulfilling their duties. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and would not recommend this restaurant for takeout. The prices ranged from $30 to $50 per person, and some of the recommended dishes included extra sauce, extra chicken fingers, coleslaw, a chicken finger platter, and a boxed lunch with House Salad."

"I really enjoy the grilled House Salad and the grilled Cobb Salad at this restaurant. My second choice would be the Wings Things, followed by the fried pickles, as long as they aren’t soggy. I used to love the fried mushrooms that Zaxby's used to offer. My only complaint is that when I order delivery, I never receive a straw for my drinks, I only get a small amount of Zax sauce and dressings, and the funnel cake is often harder than I anticipate."

I promptly contacted customer service, which involved submitting the same complaint four times before I was finally directed to the correct form. After submitting that form, I received a popup thanking me for my feedback and vaguely promising that someone would be in touch. When the email response arrived, it was from a customer service representative who essentially told me that I was out of luck unless I could figure it out myself or wait for the charges to drop off automatically. If you think I'm overreacting and that it's just $18, keep in mind I’m a single mom of three, and that amount makes a significant difference for things like getting my kids to school this week or providing field trip money. Overall, this felt like a clear act of theft with no effort to resolve the issue they caused."

"This is the worst Zaxby's I have ever been to. I typically love Zaxby's, but I make a point to avoid the one in Vidalia. Even though I live nearby, the employees there are rude and seem to dislike their job. It feels like they are annoyed or crazy whenever I go there. The service is incredibly slow and I have waited for over an hour for my food. They constantly forget parts of my order. Despite wanting to avoid leaving a negative review, my colleagues and I tried to go back for dinner today and had the same poor service. "The football season started last week and I can't lie, I was pretty pumped. Things (aka chicken tender): chicken tender here are really good, but for me what makes it the zax sauce I could eat 20 of this light lol⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Fries: Something about the frits of the Zaxby claws and the little spices they put on them is amazing. Well salted and perfectly crispy immersed in a little ranch are some of my fries in fast food. The only con here is the calories... 1500 is a lot in a meal lol... make sure you get a lot of exercise or not eat a whole lot of everything before you eat this meal ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"

"POV: First time picking up a doordash order from this location. Parking lot empty, maybe 2 cars in drive through. See a door propped open and assume it's for picking up online orders. Park, go in and the woman behind the counter said you're not supposed to be in here I said I'm here to pick up a doordash and she tells me to go back out, walk around the building, come in the other door and to this window (pointing). I'm confused. What do you mean? The window at the exact same counter I'm standing at? She said yes. I asked her to just give me the food. She wasn't going to. Asked for the manager, who happened to be one of the 5 or 6 crew members watching this encounter. I'm like isn't it ridiculous that you can't just hand it to me. He instructs me to move the furniture blocking the door to that window and walk over there (seriously insane). She hands me a large fruit punch with red drink all over the top and sides so I asked for a napkin. I grab it normally and she SLAPPED MY HAND!!!! I started hollaring and the manager never even reprimanded her! I cannot believe this woman put her hands on my and slapped my hand like a child! When she should have never even handed me a drink with red fruit punch all over it in the first place. Terrible management! Terrible service!"

"I try to give every restaurant a fair chance, but the customer service at Zaxby's in Madison, GA, is disappointing, including the management. I placed an online order and called to request fresh food. Since I work next door, I knew they weren't busy, but no one answered my call. When I went in right after placing my order, I found out they had already prepared my food. I was frustrated because I specifically asked for it to be made fresh! If a customer requests fresh food, it should be fulfilled without any backtalk from the kitchen staff or anyone else."

"Their food is usually pretty good. Service has always been slow, but they are always busy which is good for the corporate franchise. Waiting on carry out food that was preordered via the app for a total of about 45-minutes, receiving cold food, and driving home 30 more minutes to eat cold food with food missing is thievery. While I realize how busy this restaurant is after years of being their customer as well as how they are adapting to the stress of the pandemic and lack of people who actually want to work, I cannot not give them a great review. The manager was gracious and working her a off. She was doing everything she could to keep her customers served in a timely manner. This is no way lack of management skills. She offered to help rectify this situation; however, I am relocating will not be able to return anytime soon. This is poor work ethic on the part of predominantly young staff. Clearly they are understaffed and dealing with heavy traffic. We have to learn how to adapt to the current health crisis and change in the way that we serve the public. Do better."

"I have been to this location twice in the last couple weeks. Both times were the worst experiences I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (described below). Clearly these issues are not due to a bad day. The staff and management at this location are unacceptable. As much as I enjoy Zaxby's, it's not enough to visit this location ever again. The first time I went during lunch- it was clear they were busy and the drive through was wrapped around the building, so I went inside to order. I was able to to order immediately, but noticed there were many people waiting for their food in the building. I waited over an hour after I ordered for my food (I ordered a salad and a tenders meal- no reason for any delay). I had to ask for my food multiple times. I could see the staff in the kitchen walking around and talking. They did not appear to be in any kind of rush. It was clear no one working there cared. When I got the food, it was cold (except for the salad, which was warm) and the fries were not seasoned. I truly do not understand how it took them so much time so get such poorly prepared food. I returned during a less-busy time a week later. I used a coupon for a BOGO meal. The cashier had to get help for another staff member, both were giggling the whole time. They entered the two meals but did not ask me what I wanted (I had intended to order more food, get sauces, etc). They then proceeded to ignore me as I waited nearly 25 min for my food. Fries still unseasoned and cold and sauces were served on the side (instead of on the chicken)."

Even after we tried to say hello multiple times, we received no response. So, we decided to go inside to order instead. Upon entering, we found three employees just hanging out, yet no one greeted us or made any attempt to take our order. After waiting about five more minutes without being acknowledged, we ultimately decided to leave. "I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The customer service was lacking; the staff seemed to be standing around with no orders being processed. The employees appeared to be quite young, none of them seemed to be older than 18. I placed my order through the app, and the estimated time of arrival was 7:08. After waiting several times for my order to be called out by name, I finally received my food at 7:20. Unfortunately, it had been placed in the holding area, despite the employee asking for my name multiple times—I'm not sure if they had trouble reading or understanding the order ticket when I said it. As a result, my food was cold. I requested to speak with the manager, who took about 15 minutes to appear and then seemed to be unavailable. The young lady who did speak with me claimed to be the store manager, but our conversation didn’t go anywhere productive. I asked to speak with the general or area manager and was advised to contact them today."

"Stopped by this zaxbys during a long road trip and had just about as bad of an experience as you can possibly have. Whoever was taking drive thru orders was moving so slow I could have read the entire Declaration of Independence 7 times in the amount of time it took him to take an order for TWO wings and things with no sauce (repeated no sauce 3 times on BOTH orders because it was just feeling like one of those days where they just decide to be lazy and mess up your food for no reason. Got to the window just to get both tossed in sauce which we specifically repeated for this exact reason. Had to wait in line for a fresh remake of the wings and we asked specifically if they'd remake the whole meal so we don't just have hot wings but cold fries and tenders. The lady assured us it would be made fresh.... 10 mins later I'm getting a bag with PIPING HOT tradition wings..... and COLD every thing else. Their attitudes were terrible, their service was slow, and they gave me cold food. I'd avoid this zaxbys if possible unless you just like people playing with your money and food..."
