"I ordered two sandwiches online: a large club on white bread with extra mayo and a NY steamer with extra meat on white. The total came to $32.58. However, what I received was disappointing. Both sandwiches came with an unwrapped pickle spear on top, which was fine, but the club sandwich was missing bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The NY steamer lacked both provolone cheese and Italian dressing. When I arrived to pick up my order at 4 PM, mine was the only one on the rack, yet the three employees seemed oblivious and didn’t inform me that they were out of several items, missing the chance to offer substitutions. I understand that restaurants are facing challenges, but Firehouse, you really need to do better."

"Amazing experience. The subs were fire! Energetic music! Peaceful atmosphere! Children loved eating! Can't go wrong here. Fast, friendly, first-class service! I have my drink from there really cool sodaspender that has 100?s of options to choose from. When I got to the table, the food was done and the food was already at our table. What? I never saw that! Great service! Not promising to bring your food to you, but someone went beyond and beyond. Finally, the General Manager listened to our needs and presented an option that was perfect for feeding our two families with 10 mouths. Thank you for such a great experience."

"I walked in to find the restaurant empty, which I thought was a good sign. However, as I approached the registers, I stood there for at least 15 seconds without any of the three employees acknowledging me. No eye contact, no greeting—nothing at all. It was quite disappointing. With several other dining options in the plaza, I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on."

"I don't eat here because I am not someone who likes subs or sandwiches at all. But my family eats here a lot and loves it. I got some food from a nearby restaurant and then took it to go so that the rest of my family could eat here and everyone could have food they liked. My family LOVES the food here. I'm sure it's good if you like subs. But I'm reviewing this place because the staff was SO friendly, attentive, and professional that it really made me take notice. It felt like a fine dining experience at a fairly fast-food-type restaurant. It wasn't like any other lunch place I've been to. The restaurant itself was SPOTLESS. They do an AMAZING job of cleaning it and it is such a refreshing place to be with some incredible interior design too. I really appreciate their support of our brave first responders and of America. So here's 5 stars from someone who didn't even eat your food but was so impressed by the service and atmosphere that they had to let you know how well you did. :"

"The food is always awesome but a won?t go back until the person who takes the order on the phone learns how to take credit cards. I was told that they quit taking credit cards because of Covid- When I said that wasn?t true because that is how I always order- he admitted he was new and didn?t know how to do it. When I got there more than six people were working? NONE of them knew how to do it. Guess I will keep going to Sam?s."

"I went to firehouse about 2 weeks ago, called in my order around 8:15. Showed up at 8:30-8:40 ish and as I?m trying to check out the girl at the register cuts me off my saying ?sorry we are just trying to wrap things up?. Sandwiches were poorly thrown together. Whatever I ignored it. BUT tonight I show up to a staff that is completely unprofessional when I?m trying to order and cutting me off to talk to each other, I get home to again the messiest sandwiches and the cherry on top of all this is finding a wrapper mid bite... I LOVE firehouse subs but unfortunately feel as though I cannot return to this location."

"I was completely impressed by my experience at this restaurant. It was my first visit, and I can confidently say I will return and recommend it to all my friends and family. The staff was incredibly friendly and greeted everyone who came in while I was dining. The prices are very reasonable, and the sandwich I had was fantastic! The macaroni and cheese was outstanding! "Omg!!! A Great Experience. The restaurant was clean, employees were well kept. I love Firehouse Subs. I've worked for the company when I was younger. I have been to all of them in the area except for the one on Haywood. I told my sister, let's try this one on Haywood. The Sub was Amazing. Neat, Fresh, they actually took pride in what they were doing. The other locations always get my toppings wrong or no Greeting. Less meat than normal. But the one on Haywood Road was Awesome. Thank you so much!! Going forward you guys will get my business. I will never eat at the Wade Hampton/Walmart location. Again thank you for a Great Experience. I use to always wish customers would tell me how I was doing when I worked for you guys. Thought I would let you guys know."

"The service was slow, and the sub lacked flavor. I would say it doesn’t quite measure up to Jersey Mike's and is more on par with Subway. Personally, I find it slightly better than Subway, but it doesn’t deliver the same bold flavors as Jersey Mike's, especially with their freshly sliced meats prepared right in front of you! I plan to return to try a different sandwich, which might change my opinion. For now, I'd give it a solid 3 stars. It's interesting to note that many reviewers are giving 5 stars to a sandwich that really deserves a 3, which skews the ratings. In my opinion, Jersey Mike's warrants a strong 4, but there’s simply no way Firehouse should receive a 4.5; that just doesn't make sense! As for other chains, I’d rate Jimmy John's and Subway at 2.5, Firehouse and Quiznos around 3 to 3.5, and Jersey Mike's between 3.5 to 4."

"It hurts me that I had to say this bc I loved here. The girl who took our order assured me that there was no sauce at all on the cheese Steak Sub and after a while of waiting I checked it and sure enough it had sauce. I took it back and said I thought you had no sauce and said it had no sauce I didn't say it had no mustard. Okay, whatever it could be tortured to misunderstandings, even though their attitude stinks. Then she quickly roasted my sub. Not sure what she did with him bc it came back soggy and still tasted of mustard. I didn't want to complain again, I tried to eat and could?t. It was so delicate that I couldn't pick it up without getting the hands. So rough. I don't regret that they don't remake it. I went to my car and she made me uncomfortable with her attitude. I hate getting rude service and food that is not edible. I also hate that one of the only places I looked at in this area is ruined for me."

"This restaurant is fantastic! The variety of submarine sandwiches available here is quite impressive. The flavors are incredible! You even have the option to choose chili as a side, which is delicious on its own. Additionally, they offer a great selection of hot sauces for extra flavor. I didn’t use any because I felt my meal didn’t need anything else. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a great experience and definitely plan to return many times. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for their rewards program!"

"What can be said? They STILL do not open the lobby even when every other firehouse in the area has, making it very aggravating to do an online order because instead of just walking in and grabbing your order you now have to wait 10-15 minutes in line inthe drive thru completely defeating the purpose of an order ahead system. The staff constantly make order mistakes, when there'seven enough staff for them to keep the store open like they should. Between this store and the one on Russell the districtmanager should be embarrassed."

"I've gone a few times now since they opened a month or 2 ago. I originally discovered the Firehouse franchise while we were on vacation in Virginia. After going there for lunch one day, we were hooked (no pun intended) and set out to discover one in our native New Jersey. After finding one in Princeton we've gone there a few times, and were thrilled to discover this one opening in Ramsey. The first time someone picked it up for me while at work, and upon returning it was a bit cold and not as enjoyable as I remembered. The next time, I went to pick it up after ordering online. They need to get their order process a bit improved as it was lagging; when I arrived 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be ready, it was not yet. There were several other people waiting for an online order as well and the communication was lacking. After completing 2 orders they put the bags on the back counter without saying anything, while there were clearly 4 people standing by the pick up rack. After another minute I asked and one of the orders that had been previously made was mine. The chip selection was good and the Coke freestyle machine is always a treat. I will return in the hope they are just experiencing new opening pains."
