"Ambience/surrounding: We requested to be seated outside because we brought our dog along with us. Although they have mosquito repellents hanging on the trees, it still wasn’t enough to keep the mosquitos away. My partner and I got bit a few times throughout our time here, which made the overall experience a little bothersome. Food Value: The food SUCKED. My partner got the champagne brunch. He chose the French toast as his main course and we both strongly disliked it. I personally feel as if they overcomplicated their recipe for their French toast, which only resulted to it having a weird off taste. On the other hand, I got the English high tea. For the price I paid, i personally didn’t think it was worth it. The portion sizes were way too small and every food item on the tier tasted whatever/nothing special. I’ve paid around the same amount at other high-tea services and those places give you a better bang for your buck as opposed to this place and their tea sandwiches were a lot better (such as Morning Lavender in Tustin and Tea Rose Garden in Pasadena). I also ordered the strawberry lemonade on the side — it was definitely nothing special. I regretted spending the $12 on it. If there is something good to say about the food, it would just be that everything was served aesthetically nice, but that’s about it. Service: The service was good and the employees are friendly. One of them went out of their way to bring a small bowl of water out for my dog. Overall, I had my hopes high for this place, especially since I love high-tea experiences. But, I wouldn’t be coming back to this specific place."

"We arrived 1 hour early and sat at the bar to enjoy a few cocktails. The cocktails well great. Everything started to go down hill from the moment we were seated. There was another couple joining us for dinner. We ordered another round of drinks. Those came but took some time. Eventually we were given an opportunity to order. We all ordered. I had the burger. The wife had halibut. My buddy had prime rib and his wife had the pork belly and scallops. Some time had passed before we got our meal. About 30 min. Meantime I had to buss the table myself to rid of the cocktails. A gentlemen which I forgot him noticed. He came and refilled our waters and asked if we needed anything. I replied we’re fine we are just waiting for our meal. the gentleman was from the bar area. Our meals eventually came BUT our friends meals did not come. So we were sitting and waiting and after 12 min my friend flagged the host walking by. Sh found our server and sent her over. She said she would check on the remaining food. She came back about a min later and said something happened and their order didn’t go through and they are making it now. Another 14 min the remaining food came and we began to eat. By that time our meals were cold. Which I can deal with no biggie. However my wife’s halibut seemed under cooked and really fishy. The beans that were served with it were almost inedible. Perhaps they were going for a Al dente style but missed the mark. My burger was fine the fries were the star of the show. My buddy liked his prime rib and his wife was OK with her dish. Her scallops were under cooked. After $98 bucks at the bar plus a few more cocktails at the table and dinner we were at about $405 ish into this. Night. We often go out and we were excited to try a this new place. Will we return?? Perhaps if someone reaches out to me to make this might we will. At this time I would not recommend to any friends and family. Best Regards, Jeff Pigage"

"Fantastic place! I was scared to go because most of the reviews say the food is not that great. But they were wrong. Everything me and my friends ordered was delicious! Also, the ambiance was beautiful! They had a lady playing the harp. The waitress did such an amazing job! She was polite and patient with us. We were there for about 3 hours and no one told us it was time to leave. The waitress took several pictures of us. About the food: we ordered the honey chrysanthemum flower tea, and French press coffee, oh my those were so good! We also ordered virgin margaritas and cucumber lime, they were good but too sweet. We got the European and Madeline high tea. Pretty much everything tasted very good. There was only one item, bacon date, I didn't like from the European high tea, the waitress noticed and replaced it with another item I liked! The other people in the party ordered Brunch, the egg Benedict were great. The French toast was good except the bacon was too thick which it made it hard. The sea food quiche was good but if you're not used to smoked salmon, then it might not be a good choice, since smoked salmon looks and feels raw. Last but not least the scones were delicious! The only sad thing is that is only one per person. I wish we could order more. I had a great time! I would definitely come back. Dietary restrictions: One of the people in my party is allergic to gluten. They had a few gluten-free options and did their best to accommodate her."

"We had the worst experience here on Saturday and are so embarrassed that we brought family from out of town here. When we asked if they would be able to accommodate a large table upon arriving the woman asked if we had reservations. We said that we didn’t and were wondering if there were any available tables for our group. She responded “great” and stomped off without saying anything to us. A hostess came over and was nice and told us we could sit outside but that it would be a long wait for a table inside. Totally fine— we didn’t have a reservation. The restaurant was not busy at all as we walked through to go sit outside. Our waitress was nice but was at our table 3 times in a total of 2+ hours that we were there. It took our food over an hour to get to the table and no one said anything. Two of the four dishes we ordered were salads. We can totally appreciate that some places are understaffed but we’ve never had food take that long without someone saying “I’m sorry the food isn’t out yet let me go check on that for you”. Cold bread was brought out about 5 minutes before our food finally came out. We sat down at 6:40, our food came out at 8:00, and we had to go find our waitress to pay and leave. Then my husband had to ask for our bill to be adjusted because we got charged for a drink that was never brought to us. As we were leaving the table next to us gushed on and on about how well-behaved our kids were that were and couldn’t believe how bad our service was, either. So it’s not like we were a big unhinged obnoxious group. We are polite and quiet people… We were looking for a nice dinner and some drinks with our family and kids and this was NOT it. Maybe they saw that we had kids and immediately dismissed us? Maybe they prefer people not to eat there without reservations? It was a very crappy experience all around. Kid-friendliness: Not very kid-friendly. The kids menu is a la carte with no sides, bread, fruit, veggies, or salad options with the meal. Drinks are not included either. Very strange for a nicer restaurant."
