"It was a lovely Saturday evening, and as soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted by the amazing aromas coming from the kitchen. As we took our seats, we noticed that the restaurant was filled with Asian families sitting at large round tables, indicating that we were in the right place for delicious food. We were not disappointed. The food was beautifully presented in generous portions meant for sharing, and we even took some leftovers home. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning, as the menu offers a wide variety of dishes that I am eager to try, especially the seafood section which is featured on a separate menu."

"Beware! This place previously was rated ~2 stars, one of the worst ratings I’ve ever seen. Despite that I ate here 8 years ago to give it a shot and would never go again. It’s a video lottery place that just so happens to also have food. They got ALL their reviews wiped and started clean. They didn’t go out of business, change the menu, remodel or get new owners must have hired some service to rehab their reviews. I wish it was good as there’s no other real restaurants in the shopping area across the street and despite it being so close I still don’t go."

"This place was good for the first six months after opening the doors. After that, my experiences with this place just go downhill. First, their website only give a 404 error, which makes it hard to find out what to order when a pick-up order. We actually had to go there and go to check the menu. We had to wait a while to get our order. It would have been nice to call forward and prepare the meal, so we just have to pick it up and not wait until it is cooked. The worst is the food that is subpar. The Broccoli at Broccoli Beef was quite mush. The beef had little taste and tasted like baking powder. I know using some places that help to make their meeting tender, but that melted as if they needed too much. The fried rice had little in it and was dried out a little. If you live in Lake Stevens and want good Chinese food, then I suggest you try to go to Everett as they have decent Chinese restaurants."

"My favorite Chinese place in Golden! Went in last April when they were between chefs and on a very limited menu. It's owned by a husband and wife, and since their previous chef left, all they had were the traditional meals the wife knew how to make, and they were so good! Incredibly friendly too the husband, Yu Feng, sat with us for part of our meal and told us all about the history behind the food, the folk music playing, and some of the poems and paintings on the walls. Ever since, I've been a loyal customer, and can't bare to get the old American Chinese classics any more! The Shaanxi sandwiches and dumplings are incredible, truly authentic dishes for the North of China and they are delicious!"

"Horrible place! I ordered one large rice. The guy came back with a small. I stated I ordered large. He said no because he repeated small back to me. He became argumentative. Then a woman came buy and tried to charge me for two smalls, stating is was equivalent to a large. I don't think so. I've had food from this place before that was not good, but I did not think they could screw up rice. They did. I am never going back there again."

"Food and atmosphere are nice! There is a bar area inside as well. I did feel a little rushed as our server quickly took orders and bought the check to the table with the food. Otherwise, I like this place!"

"The food is five stars, and I'll probably eat again here. I have to order differently, because the cook and the waiting staff do not meet. I've eaten several times here. Every time there was a togo folder. The food here was excellent every time. I like the way they do their lemon chicken. Lemon Huhn may be my favorite Chinese dish. So I was excited to find a place that did it well and did it as I liked it. The last couple of times I asked for no onions in my chow, the vegetable dish or wherever it could be taken out. I also asked about him with the personal combos (I asked for no onions). There was never a problem, regardless of the fact that it was a duck or personal combo to get it without onions (I also don't like peas in fried rice, I don't like peas at all, they are just green ****). Today both the server and the boss refused to let onions from the chow and fried rice. They said they couldn't do it with the personal combo. I didn't want onions. To let them out something that would be easier unless they do not reorder every order. They have probably suggested the portions for the personal combo with the onions already in the mix, and then throw each order on the wok, and maybe they can't take off the onions. Or whatever. Find a way to get the onions out. Not everyone likes onions. Or some people could be allergic to them. I have a cheeseburger somewhere, and now I have to find a new Chinese restaurant."

"I've had a lot of Chinese food in my lifetime, but Chef Hunan's is something else! I am literally writing this review as I eat because it is that good. I ordered the beef chow fun and they tasted better than anywhere else I've had. There was also tons of meat, and it was a large enough portion for two people! The chili sauce they had on the side made it even better. It had a good kick, whereas sometimes at other restaurants the spice is just weak. As for the beef clay pot you MUST get it!! The tofu is so soft inside but the outside of it still holds it together well. It just melted in my mouth omg. And there's also huge chunks of beef the kind you would find in beef noodle soup! There is so much of it. And also it has veggies which I love! The sauce is so delicious. Pair it with some rice and you've got yourself three meals. Both of these together were only $25! Such a good deal, and remember cash only. The staff was also super nice and let us sip on tea while we waited. Our food was ready in 5 minutes so we didn't wait long! I could've sat there for 10 more minutes the tea was so good I already had drank two tea cups! It was just us there and one person getting takeout so it was quiet besides the staff watching TV and commenting on it, but I really loved the vibe. COME SUPPORT THIS GREAT RESTAURANT!!! You will not regret!"

"This place is a joke. I came from out of town and needed a late meal to tide me over until the next day. I figured fried wontons and fried rice are easy enough and hard to mess up. WRONG! The chicken in the rice was a gross texture and had gnarly bits in it. There was NO cheese in the wontons at all. None. It was just a fried wonton wrapper. I barely ate any of it and threw it all in the trash. I can't remember ever wanting to throw my whole dinner away."

"The restaurant always serves fresh food, and the staff are welcoming. They make it convenient with online ordering and also offer curbside service upon request (perfect for when you have a car full of kids). The buffet is spotless and the food is delicious."

"Tried Singing Bamboo for my birthday today and it was awful! I ordered the Lemon Chicken with veg fried rice. As you can see from the pic it was a plate full of oil with absolutely NO lemon taste at all. The chicken was so tough I was going to ask for a “steak” knife to cut it. The veggie fried rice was tasteless. I ordered a Mai Tai cocktail which was decent I also ordered the Fried chicken wings as an appetizer which were decent and became my main dish due to the horrible Lemon chicken. Hubby ordered Sweet Sour chicken and it was virtually dry with very little sauce on it. Totally disappointed, now I know why there were only a few tables seated. It’s sad there is no decent Chinese restaurants in the area. Service was ok and they were accommodating, sucks food was so bad!"

"I 've found the service to be friendly and the delivery quick. The food itself was surprisingly good for the price. One of the items I tried is their 'oriental combination plate, ' similar to the appetizer sampler from other Chinese restaurants. Every other sampler I 've tried was very disappointing, but not this one! The meat was tender, the wontons had enough filling to be worthwhile, and the chicken wings were plump well-cooked. The other menu items were equally delicious. It 's not the best Chinese takeout I 've ever had, but definitely the best I 've tried in the BisMan area."

"Was excited to try a new Chinese place close to home. Ordered the General chows dinner plate and Pu pu platter. The portions on both were incredibly small. I got four pieces of deep fried chicken with no breading and runny sauce. The pu pu platter had crab Rangoon?s which had no cream cheese in them and were just deep fried pieces of dough. The egg rolls were super peppery for some reason. I paid 32 dollars with a 2 dollar tip. Was told they don?t do refunds and I could choose to go somewhere else next time I get take out. I will never go back and caution anyone looking for a reasonably priced Chinese spot with good portions and quality food. Buyer beware."

"This restaurant offers delightful light Asian cuisine from the southern region of China, accompanied by excellent service. The fish and tofu dish on the lunch three-course menu is particularly outstanding. Everything else we sampled was quite enjoyable as well. There's a generous amount of food for lunch, and the service was commendable, although the bathrooms could use some attention. The pricing is fantastic, especially considering the high quality and freshness of the ingredients. It was just what I needed!"
